Product Overview
The Black & Decker Series 1000 Heavy-Duty Electronic Pest Repeller is designed for indoor use to repel common household pests like mice, rats, cockroaches, spiders, and scorpions. It uses ultrasonic and sonic sound waves to disrupt pest behavior.
Ultrasonic Waves: These waves are nearly silent to humans and most animals but disruptive to pests, affecting their nervous system, feeding, and communication habits. Safe for use around humans, dogs, cats, birds, and fish. Note: Ultrasound intensity decreases with distance and is absorbed by soft objects; it cannot penetrate walls or floors effectively. Multiple units may be needed for larger rooms.
Sonic Sound Waves: Low-frequency, audible sounds effective against larger pests like rats and for protecting larger areas.
Cautions: Keep away from pet tarantulas, mice, hamsters, gerbils, and rabbits. Prolonged exposure to loud/medium sonic modes may irritate humans and pets in confined areas.
How to Use
For indoor use. Place on a flat surface. Operate continuously, 24 hours a day, moving occasionally. For best results, use additional units in adjacent rooms and on each level. Results may take up to two weeks; continue use to prevent pests from returning.
- Connect the AC adapter cord to the unit's POWER jack (back of unit) and plug the transformer into a wall outlet.
- Slide the switch to the ON position. The LED light indicates operation.
- Use the SOUND PATTERN and SOUND VOLUME switches on the back of the unit to select settings based on pest type.
- SOUND VOLUME: Adjusts sound level.
- SOUND PATTERN: Selects pest type to repel, adjusting sound length, interval, and pattern.
Cautions: Use only the provided adapter. Do not use near flammable liquids.
Care and Cleaning
- Do not immerse the unit in water or liquid.
- Unplug the AC adapter before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth.
- No maintenance or refills are required.
