3. Download & Install App
Download the ZUMIMALL App from Google Play™ or App Store™. You can also scan the QR codes provided. (Google Play™ is a trademark of Google Inc., App Store™ is a service mark of Apple Inc.)
Permissions Required:
- Allow ZUMIMALL to access mobile cellular data and wireless LAN for successful camera connection.
- Allow ZUMIMALL to receive push notifications to get alarms when motion is detected.
4. Account Registration
New users must sign up for a ZUMIMALL account using their email address. Click 'Sign up' and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the registration process.
5. Camera Setup
5.1 Preparations for connection
- Insert a Micro SD card (not included) into the camera before powering it on. This allows automatic saving of videos triggered by motion detection. The camera supports SD cards up to 128GB.
- The camera operates exclusively with 2.4G Wi-Fi networks; it does not support 5G Wi-Fi.
5.2 Connect Camera to App
Follow these steps to connect your camera to the ZUMIMALL app:
- Tap the '+' icon to add a new device.
- Select 'Battery Camera' from the device list.
- Tap 'Next'.
- Ensure the device is powered on (hold the power button). If the device is asleep, press the battery camera button to wake it. For best signal, keep the device near your router.
- If prompted, reset the device by holding the RESET button for 4-5 seconds until the indicator light flashes red. Then tap 'Next'.
- Input your Wi-Fi password for a 2.4G network.
- Prepare for scanning: Remove any protective film from the camera lens. Tap 'Next' to display a QR code on your phone. Position your phone 5-8 inches (15-25cm) from the camera lens.
- Scan the QR code with the camera. You should hear a tone when it's successfully scanned.
- The app will then connect the device to your network. Ensure the camera and phone are close to the router for optimal signal strength.
- Installation is finished when the connection reaches 100%.
6. Camera Installation
- For wooden walls: Screw the mounting bracket directly onto the wall.
- For cement or ceramic tile walls: Drill holes, insert the provided expansion screws, and then fasten the bracket.
To detach the camera from the bracket, rotate the locking mechanism counterclockwise.
7. Monitoring Area
To optimize motion detection, adjust the camera's PIR lens to create an angle greater than 10 degrees between the lens and the moving objects. It is not recommended to position the PIR sensor vertically towards the path of movement.
Diagram shows an entrance with a person moving, illustrating the optimal angle (θ > 10°) for the PIR sensor to detect motion effectively.
8. Important Notes for Reducing False Alarms
- Avoid installing the camera facing strong lights, mirrors, windows, or swimming pools.
- Do not place the camera too close to areas with busy traffic.
- Maintain a recommended distance of within 10 meters (32ft) between the camera and motion objects.
- Keep the camera away from outlets such as air conditioner vents, humidifier outlets, or heat transfer vents from projectors.
- Ensure at least 1 meter distance between the camera and other wireless devices (e.g., microwave ovens, Wi-Fi routers) to prevent interference.

11. PIR Body Detection
11.1 Body Detection Alarm Setting
The PIR 'Body Detection' feature is enabled by default at 'High' sensitivity, but it is adjustable. You can select sensitivity levels (Low, High) and configure Day/Night Detection and Alert Plans.
- Sensitivity Levels:
- Low: Detecting Distance up to 5 meters (16ft)
- High: Detecting Distance up to 10 meters (32ft)
Tip: Higher sensitivity provides a longer detection distance and may result in more alarms.
11.2 Alarm Notification
This camera is designed to record only when motion is detected, not for continuous 24/7 recording. System reactions include:
- Alarm notifications with sounds from the APP.
- Pictures/videos automatically stored in the SD Card or Cloud.
11.3 Records/Playback/Delete
Navigate to the 'MESSAGES' page and click 'Alarm Messages' to view all recorded events. You can then select the buttons to playback or delete specific recordings.

12. Two-Way Audio
Enable the audio option in the app. Press and hold the intercom button to speak, and release it to listen.
13. Battery Management
- The camera features a built-in large capacity battery. Under typical usage (waking up 15 times/day), the battery can last 3-6 months after a full charge.
- The recommended charger standard is DC 5V 1/2A (not included). A full charge takes approximately 8-16 hours.
- When the battery level drops below 20%, the app will send a prompt to recharge the camera.
Charging Indicator Lights:
- Light in Red: Charging
- Light in Blue: 100% Charged
14. Solar Panel
Step 1: Placement and Angle Adjustment
Find a location that receives sunlight for most of the day. Adjust the solar panel's angle to maximize sun exposure. The ZUMIMALL solar panel requires a few hours of direct sunlight to convert solar energy into electricity. Conversion efficiency is influenced by weather conditions, seasonal changes, and geographic location.
Diagram illustrates optimal angles for the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, with the ideal angle being Local Latitude + 5°.
Solar Panel Installation Steps:
Step 2: Mount the Bracket
Use the provided mounting template and screws to securely attach the bracket to the wall.
Step 3: Slot the Solar Panel
Insert the solar panel into the bracket and ensure it is firmly secured.
Step 4: Adjust Angle
Loosen the adjusting control on the bracket. Adjust the solar panel's angle to receive direct sunlight. Retighten the adjusting control to secure your chosen setting.
Step 5: Connect to Camera
Connect the solar panel to the ZUMIMALL Camera using the micro USB cable.
Important Notes for Solar Panel:
- Ensure there is no obstruction on the solar panel, as even partial blockage significantly reduces energy harvesting efficiency.
- Avoid installing the solar panel completely horizontally. This can lead to dust and debris accumulation. It is advised to install the panel at an angle to facilitate direct sunlight reception.
- Regularly wipe the solar panel to remove any dust or debris.
15. Multi Device Management
15.1 Multi Camera Management
The ZUMIMALL app allows you to manage multiple cameras from a single interface.
15.2 Multi-User Sharing
Notice: An app account cannot be logged in on multiple devices simultaneously, nor can one camera be connected to multiple app accounts. However, a camera can be shared from account A to account B.
- Create a new ZUMIMALL app account (B) and log in on another phone.
- On the main phone (account A), click 'Share'.
- Use account A to scan the QR code provided by account B, or input account B's ID.
- Accept the sharing invitation on account B and refresh the page to view the shared camera.
16. Reset
- Step 1: To remove the device, keep pressing the relevant button (refer to device diagram for specific button).
- Step 2: Press and hold the reset button for 5-10 seconds until you hear a 'Boogu' sound.
- Step 3: Reconnect the camera as a new device.
Diagrams show the process of removing a device from the app and adding a new device.
