METOD Corner Base Cabinet Assembly Instructions

WARNING! Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip over. To prevent tip over, this furniture must be used with the wall attachment device(s) provided. Screws and plugs for the wall are not included. Use screws and plugs suitable for your walls. If you are uncertain, seek professional advice. Read and follow each step of the instructions carefully.

General Handling:

  • Tools required: Phillips head screwdrivers, hammer, clamp.
  • Always use the provided wall attachment devices to prevent tip-over.
  • Lift heavy panels with assistance from another person.
  • Place the cabinet on a soft surface during assembly to prevent damage.

Parts List

Ensure all parts are present before starting assembly:

  • Screws: 112996 (20x), 109563 (8x), 10035574 (10x), 109558 (2x), 10046940 (9x), 109582 (4x), 101351 (21x), 319503 (approx. 20x, used in steps 14, 15, 24, 25, 27)
  • Plugs/Washers: 100823 (8x)
  • Cam Lock Nuts: 113434 (20x), 103693 (3x), 10039571 (3x)
  • Dowels/Pins: 101351 (21x), 124531 (4x), 109582 (3x), 101351 (6x), 124518 (3x), 124519 (3x)

Assembly Steps

  1. Step 1: Attach Base Panel

    Place the base panel flat. Align the two side panels perpendicular to the base panel. Secure each side panel to the base panel using 10x screws (112996) through the pre-drilled holes.

  2. Step 2: Insert Back Panels

    Slide the two back panels into the grooves provided on the inner sides of the side panels. Secure them using 2x connectors (10049278) and 2x connectors (10046940).

  3. Step 3: Attach Corner Brackets

    Insert 2x dowels/pins (101351) into the designated holes on the inside of the cabinet frame to prepare for corner brackets.

  4. Step 4: Insert Vertical Support Panels

    Slide the two long vertical support panels into their positions along the sides of the cabinet frame.

  5. Step 5: Secure Vertical Panels

    Insert 2x cam lock nuts (113434) into the larger holes on the vertical panels and tighten them with a screwdriver. Insert 2x dowels/pins (101351) into the side panels and push them into the corresponding holes on the vertical panels.

  6. Step 6: Attach Back Panel

    Slide the back panel into the grooves. Secure it using 3x dowels/pins (101351).

  7. Step 7: Attach Side Connectors

    Attach connectors to the side panels. Insert 3x cam lock nuts (113434) and 3x dowels/pins (101351) into the side panels.

  8. Step 8: Insert Back Panels

    Slide the two back panels into the grooves of the cabinet.

  9. Step 9: Attach Top Panel

    Place the top panel onto the cabinet frame. Secure it using 3x dowels/pins (101351).

  10. Step 10: Attach Corner Connectors

    Attach the corner connectors to the inside of the cabinet frame using 5x cam lock nuts (113434).

  11. Step 11: Check and Secure Angles

    Ensure all corners are at a 90-degree angle. Insert a screw (unspecified) into the designated hole to lock the angle. Avoid non-square angles (indicated by an 'X').

  12. Step 12: Secure Top Panel

    Insert a screw (unspecified, likely 319503) into the edge of the top panel.

  13. Step 13: Attach Bracket and Secure

    Attach a bracket (10036383/10039201) to the cabinet and secure it with a screw (319503).

  14. Step 14: Secure Top Panel

    Insert 2x screws (unspecified, likely 319503) into the top panel.

  15. Step 15: Secure Top Panel

    Insert 11x screws (unspecified, likely 319503) into the top panel.

  16. Step 16: Attach Internal Shelf Supports

    Insert shelf support pins/screws into the cabinet sides using 5x screws (112996).

  17. Step 17: Attach Internal Shelf Supports

    Attach specific internal shelf support brackets using 1x bracket (10049278) and 1x bracket (10046940).

  18. Step 18: Attach Internal Shelf Supports

    Insert 5x dowels/pins (101351) for internal shelf supports.

  19. Step 19: Attach Side Panels

    Connect the side panels to the main cabinet frame using 5x cam lock nuts (113434).

  20. Step 20: Insert Back Panel

    Slide a back panel into the grooves of the cabinet.

  21. Step 21: Secure Internal Structure

    Insert 6x dowels/pins (101351) to secure the internal structure.

  22. Step 22: Attach Top Panel

    Insert 5x screws (112996) into the top panel.

  23. Step 23: Attach Side Panels

    Connect the side panels to the cabinet using 5x cam lock nuts (113434).

  24. Step 24: Attach Drawer Runners/Slides

    Attach one part of the drawer runner to the cabinet side using 1x screw (319503).

  25. Step 25: Attach Drawer Runners/Slides

    Attach the other part of the drawer runner to the cabinet side using 1x screw (319503).

  26. Step 26: Attach Drawer Runners/Slides

    Attach drawer runners/slides to the cabinet using 2x connectors (10036383/10039201).

  27. Step 27: Attach Drawer Runners/Slides

    Attach drawer runners/slides to the cabinet using 5x screws (319503).

  28. Step 28: Attach Rails and Brackets

    Mount rails onto the cabinet sides. Attach specific brackets using 3x connectors (10039571). Ensure correct placement; avoid incorrect placement (indicated by an 'X').

  29. Step 29: Attach Door Hinge Plates

    Attach hinge plates to the cabinet using 3x connectors (124526) and 3x hinge plates (124518/124519). Ensure correct placement; avoid incorrect placement (indicated by an 'X').

  30. Step 30: Attach Door Hinge Plates

    Attach door hinge plates to the cabinet using 3x connectors (103693).

  31. Step 31: Attach Door Hinge Plates

    Attach door hinge plates to the cabinet using 3x hinge plates (124518/124519).

  32. Step 32: Attach Door Hinge Plates

    Attach door hinge plates to the cabinet using 4x connectors (124531) and 6x connectors (109582).

  33. Step 33: Attach Doors

    Mount the hinges onto the doors first: use 2x hinges (109397) for one door, and 2x hinges (110682) for the other. Then, attach the doors to the cabinet by aligning the hinges with the plates and securing them. This may involve specific measurements for placement (e.g., 25mm or 38mm from edges) using screws (109558). Secure doors using 2x connectors (107091).

  34. Step 34: Attach Handles

    Attach the handles to the doors using 1x handle fitting (114678).

  35. Step 35: Adjust Doors

    Adjust the doors for proper alignment by turning the screws on the hinges.

  36. Step 36: Attach Top Panel and Shelves

    Attach the top panel using 8x screws (109563) and 8x washers/plugs (100823). Install UTRUSTA shelves as needed.
