IKEA Retail Poland Return Policy
Effective Date: May 30, 2025
I. General Provisions
Goods purchased from IKEA Retail Sp. z o.o. ("IKEA") in the Republic of Poland can be returned within 365 days of the date of delivery or pickup, regardless of the purchase method (in-store, online, or by phone).
Customers can return goods at the Customer Service Department of an IKEA stationary shop in Poland or by using the "Return by courier" service via a GLS Point, as described in the IKEA Retail Sp. z o.o. Terms and Conditions of Providing Services. To process a return, customers must present the original receipt or VAT invoice (electronic or paper form) or the IKEA FAMILY card (if the purchase was registered with it).
These provisions do not preclude customer rights related to: (a) non-conformity of goods with the contract (Article 43a et seq. of the Act of 30 May 2014 on Consumer Rights), (b) guarantee for goods covered by a guarantee, or (c) statutory right to withdraw from a remotely concluded agreement, as detailed in the Rules of Providing Services Remotely available on IKEA.pl/regulaminy.
II. Terms and Conditions of Returns
IKEA accepts returns for goods that, at the time of return:
- Are in their original, undamaged (i.e., unopened) packaging and in the same condition as when delivered to the customer, showing no signs of wear and tear.
- Are unpacked (i.e., returned in the original but opened packaging, or without original packaging) and show only marks of handling necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning after unpacking and assembly. This allows customers to try and test goods under home conditions but not to use them (this exclusion does not apply to IKEA Food).
Refund Process:
IKEA will refund the sale price of the returned goods as follows:
- For unused and originally packed goods (as per II.1.a): Returned within 365 days of delivery/pickup – via the original payment method.
- For unpacked goods (as per II.1.b):
- Returned within 14 days of delivery/pickup – via the original payment method.
- For payments made by BLIK CHECK, refunds within 14 days will be issued via BLIK, to a payment card, to a refund card/e-refund card, or cash. This does not apply to credit agreements with Ikano Bank AB (publ.) Spółka Akcyjna Oddział w Polsce.
- Returned between 15 and 365 days of delivery/pickup – via an IKEA refund card or e-refund card.
- For goods paid with IKEA e-cards (gift, refund, e-refund cards) or Sodexo vouchers: Returned within 365 days of delivery/pickup – via an IKEA refund card or e-refund card.
- For goods purchased on installments: Returned directly to an IKEA stationary shop within 365 days of delivery/pickup – IKEA will refund the sale price via an IKEA refund card or e-refund card, without altering the installment contract with Ikano Bank AB (publ.) Spółka Akcyjna Oddział w Polsce. Customers must submit a statement to the Customer Service Department to this effect.
- For food products, As-Is Department purchases (excluding BuyBack&Re-Sell), custom-made items, or textiles: Refund via an IKEA refund card or e-refund card.
Refund Card Usage: Rules for using IKEA refund cards and e-refund cards are available in the Regulation IKEA refund card and digital refund card on www.ikea.pl/regulaminy.
IKEA reserves the right not to refund goods handled beyond the scope described in section II.1.b (e.g., goods with dirt, scratches, dents, or signs of washing). If IKEA decides to accept such goods, a reduction in the refund amount may be applied to reflect the diminished value of the goods, as determined by a Customer Service worker.
Non-Returnable Items:
IKEA does not accept returns for the following:
- IKEA gift cards, refund cards, and e-refund cards.
- Unpacked mattresses (these can be exchanged within 90 days under the Mattress Replacement Policy).
- Goods purchased in the As-Is Department marked as BuyBack&Re-Sell.
- Items made to individual order (including stitching and embroidery services).
- Goods modified by the customer.
- The value of a promotion discount or rebate.
- Items purchased under a leasing agreement.
- Cut Christmas trees.
III. Final Provisions
The content of this Policy is available on IKEA.pl/regulaminy and at IKEA Customer Service departments.
Changes to the terms of this Policy will not affect the rights and obligations acquired by the customer before the changes take effect. Amended terms and conditions will be available on IKEA.pl/regulaminy and in IKEA stores.
IV. Policy Effective Date
This Policy comes into effect on May 30, 2025. Prior Returns Policies apply to goods purchased before May 30, 2025, and are available at IKEA Customer Service departments and on IKEA.pl/regulamin.
