Electronic discount code / discount code - a digital carrier of a Discount in the form of a QR (Quick Response) code, granted according to separate terms and conditions, which allows for the purchase of goods with a Discount in IKEA stationary stores in Poland during the code's validity period.
Club Member - a participant in the IKEA Family program.
Discount - a discount expressed in monetary value for subsequent purchases; the value of the Discount is specified in its content and results from the conditions of its granting.
II. General Provisions
- Electronic discount codes are granted exclusively to Club Members and assigned to their IKEA Family account. Active codes can be checked in the Club Member's profile by logging in via a web browser. Discount codes are not visible in the IKEA application. If a Club Member does not have an active profile, they should activate it by logging in using their IKEA Family card number.
- Unless otherwise specified in the terms of its granting, the Electronic discount code appears in the profile within 48 hours of receiving the goods, which IKEA will notify the Club Member about via e-mail or SMS (if provided). A Club Member can also check the code with a Customer Service Department employee at an IKEA store, upon presentation of their IKEA Family card.
- A discount code can be redeemed by the Club Member until its expiry date. The expiry date of the discount code is indicated in the Club Member's profile.
- Electronic discount codes can only be redeemed when purchasing goods in IKEA stationary stores in Poland. The list of stores is available here.
- Electronic discount codes cannot be redeemed for purchases of:
- IKEA services offered in accordance with the IKEA Service Provision Regulations,
- goods with transport services,
- goods on individual order,
- IKEA gift cards,
- remotely (via the Internet and phone).
- It is not possible to increase the balance of an already granted electronic discount code (this applies to both unused and partially or fully used codes).
- Electronic discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash or gift cards.
III. Obtaining an Electronic Discount Code
- A Club Member obtains a discount code from their account by logging in via a web browser or from a Customer Service Department employee at an IKEA store, upon presentation of their IKEA Family card.
- The code is downloaded in PDF format. It can be printed or sent to your mobile device.
- The electronic discount code can be downloaded and used multiple times until the entire Discount amount is used or the code expires, whichever occurs first.
IV. Using the Code
- Discount codes are granted by IKEA to a given Club Member and cannot be shared with other persons.
- To use the received Discount, the Club Member must present the discount code in electronic or paper form (code printout) and their IKEA Family card at the IKEA store checkout.
- The value of the Discount is distributed proportionally to the price of all goods purchased by the Club Member and visible on the receipt (examples of how the Discount is allocated to purchased goods are provided below). The price of the goods and the amount of the Discount granted for each item are visible on the receipt.
Example I: A Club Member buys two boxes, each for 6 PLN. The Club Member has a discount code worth 6 PLN. The price of each box after applying the discount is 3 PLN. The price of each item has therefore been reduced proportionally by 3 PLN.
Example II: A Club Member buys two boxes, one for 12 PLN, the other for 6 PLN. The Club Member has a discount code worth 6 PLN. After applying the discount, the price of the more expensive box is 8 PLN, and the price of the cheaper box is 4 PLN. The price of each item has therefore been reduced proportionally by 4 PLN and 2 PLN, respectively. - If the value of the purchase is equal to or lower than the granted Discount amount, the Club Member cannot finance 100% of the purchase value with the electronic discount code and is obliged to pay at least 1 PLN (one zloty) for the purchased goods using their own funds.
- The unused Discount amount remains on the electronic discount code and can be used for subsequent purchases until the code's expiry date.
- If the value of the purchase is higher than the granted Discount amount, the Club Member can redeem the entire Discount, paying the remaining part of the purchase value with their own funds.
- Withdrawal from a distance contract or return (based on the IKEA Goods Return Regulations) of goods, the purchase of which, under separate conditions, resulted in the granting of a Discount, results in the loss of the Discount according to the following principles:
- a. Unused discount code: The value of the granted Discount will be reduced so that the new discount code balance corresponds to the value of the Discount applicable to the returned goods, in accordance with the principles of granting the Discount. If the value of funds on the discount code is insufficient, the missing funds will be deducted from the value of the returned goods.
- b. Partially used discount code: The value of the granted Discount will be reduced so that the new discount code balance corresponds to the value of the Discount applicable to the returned goods, in accordance with the principles of granting the Discount. If the value of funds on the discount code is insufficient, the missing funds will be deducted from the value of the returned goods.
- c. Fully used discount code: The value of the granted Discount will be deducted from the value of the returned goods.
- In the case of returning goods purchased using a discount code (based on the IKEA Goods Return Regulations), the Club Member receives a refund of the goods' price reduced by the value of the Discount granted for the returned goods. The value of the Discount is not refunded to the Club Member.
- The value of the refund is calculated based on the unit prices visible on the receipt or invoice.
