Initial Phone Setup
Charging the Battery
Before turning ON the phone, charge the battery fully.
- Insert the battery, ensuring the gold contacts align.
- Push in and press down gently to secure.
- Place the back cover and press it down along the edges to secure.
- Insert the small end of the USB cable into the phone.
- Insert the larger end into the charger and plug the charger into an outlet.
Warning: Use only approved chargers with your phone. Incompatible chargers or tampering with the charging port could damage your phone and void the warranty.
SIM Card and microSD Card
SIM Card Instructions
Your phone comes with a SIM card installed. For optimal functionality, use the pre-installed SIM card.
To insert a microSD Card
- Turn off the phone, then remove the back cover and battery.
- Position the microSD card with the label side facing up and carefully slide it into the microSD tray.
Turning the Phone ON/OFF
- Press and hold the [End/Power Key] until the phone powers ON.
- Press and hold the [End/Power Key] until it displays "Power off/ Restart". Select "Power Off" to turn OFF your phone.
Select Language
From the Home screen, press the [OK Key], select Settings ⚙️ > Personalization > Language > Language.
- Press the [Navigation Key] to select the desired language preference.
- Press the [OK Key] to confirm.
Connect to Wi-Fi
From the Home screen, select the [OK Key], select Settings ⚙️ > Network & Connectivity > Wi-Fi.
- Press the [OK Key] to select Wi-Fi.
- Press the [Navigation Key] to select On/Off.
- Press the [OK Key] to turn ON Wi-Fi.
- Use the [Navigation Key] to select "Available networks", press the [OK Key] to see the network list, select the required network, press the [OK Key] to configure the access point, enter the password, and press the [Right Soft Key] to connect your phone.
Locking and Unlocking Your Screen
To keep your phone contents secure and protect your privacy, you can lock the phone screen by creating a password.
- From the home screen, press the [OK Key], select Settings ⚙️ > Privacy & Security > Screen lock.
- Press the [OK Key] and select ON to enable screen lock.
- Enter a password and press the [Right Soft Key] to Create.
Navigating Your Phone
Navigate your phone's software by pressing the key corresponding to the action, or use the [Navigation Key] to scroll and the [OK Key] to select a highlighted item.
For example:
- Press the [Left Soft Key] to select the item displayed at the bottom left of the screen.
- Press the [Right Soft Key] to select the item displayed at the bottom right of the screen.
- Press the [Keypad Key] corresponding to the item you want in a displayed list.
- Press the top, bottom, or sides of the [Navigation Key] to move the cursor, then press the [OK Key] to select the item displayed at the bottom center of the screen.
Home Screen Navigation
From the Home Screen
- Press the [OK Key]: To access the application list. To confirm an option.
- Press the [Left Soft Key] to access Notifications ?.
- Press the [Right Soft Key] to access Contacts.
- [Navigation Key]:
- Press Up ⬆️ to access Ringtones & Alerts.
- Press Down ⬇️ to access Verizon Cloud.
- Press Left ◀️ to access Carousel apps on the home screen.
- Press Right ▶️ to access Calendar.
Making a Call
From the Home Screen
- Dial the desired number using the numeric keypad.
- Press the [Call Key] or the [OK Key] to make the call.
From Contacts
- From the Home screen, press the [Right Soft Key] to access Contacts.
- Choose the contact you want to dial > press the [Call Key] or the [OK Key] to make the call.
Answering/Rejecting Calls
- Open the flip to answer, if Settings ⚙️ > Personalization > Answer Mode > Flip open to answer is ON.
- Press the [Left Soft Key] or [Call Key] to answer.
- Press the [Right Soft Key] or the [End/Power Key] to decline.
- Press the [OK Key] to reject the call by sending a preset message.
Voicemail
Long press 1 launches voicemail.
Voicemail Setup
To Setup Voicemail
- Dial *86 and press the [Call Key] or the [OK Key].
- After the greeting, follow the instructions provided.
Check Voicemail
From your phone
- Dial *86 and press the [Call Key] or the [OK Key].
- Follow the instructions.
From other phones
- Dial your wireless number.
- After the greeting, follow the instructions provided.
Text and Picture Messaging
Sending a Text Message
From the Home screen, press the [OK Key] > select Messages ?.
- Press the [Left Soft Key] to write a New Message.
- Enter the phone number of the recipient in the "To" bar or press the [Left Soft Key] to add recipients from Contacts.
- Use the [Navigation Key] to go to the SMS bar to enter the text of the message.
- Press the [OK Key] to SEND the text message.
Sending a Multimedia Message
Multimedia enables you to send video clips, photos, contacts, and sounds to other compatible phones and email addresses.
- Press the [Right Soft Key] from an open text messages screen to access Options and then select "Add attachment".
Bluetooth Connectivity
Turn ON/OFF
From the Home screen, press the [OK Key] > select Settings ⚙️ > Network & Connectivity > Bluetooth.
- Press the [OK Key] to enter Bluetooth.
- Press the [Navigation Key] to select ON, then press the [OK Key] to turn ON Bluetooth.
Pairing Devices
Press the [OK Key] to enter "Nearby devices" list > use the [Navigation Key] to select the required device > press the [OK Key] to confirm > press the [Right Soft Key] to Pair. You can review the paired devices by pressing Bluetooth > Paired devices.
Internet
Browse the Web
To connect to the internet
- Press the [OK Key] from the Home screen and select Internet.
- Select Search or enter URL and select GO.
- Use the Up and Down of the [Navigation Key] to move the mouse cursor in the browser.
Store
The Store is a digital library of applications (apps) that you can install directly on your phone. These applications are tools that can be used for many different things, like chatting with friends, sharing pictures, watching videos, learning new things, and more.
The Store comes pre-installed on KaiOS devices and has over 700 applications.
- To access the Store, press the [OK Key] from the Home screen and select Store.
- Search for the desired app > press the [OK Key] to SELECT and download the desired apps and games.
Verizon Cloud
Verizon Cloud offers secure online storage to back up your contacts, messages, photos, and videos, and sync them with your other Cloud-Connected devices.

Keep in touch with family and friends while at home and abroad with our Prepaid International plans.

Location-based Services
This phone can determine its location, which is useful for services such as navigation, shopping, and weather.
For your safety, it's defaulted to acquire your location only when you dial 911. To use location-based services, go to Settings ⚙️ > Network & Connectivity > Geolocation.
