Orbic Magic 5G Quick Start Guide

Welcome to your new Orbic Magic 5G. This guide will help you get started.

What's Included

To get started, you'll need these items included in your package:

Initial Phone Setup

Charging Battery: Before turning on your phone, charge it fully. Insert the small end of the USB cable into the phone. Insert the larger end into the charger and plug it into an outlet. WARNING: Only use approved chargers. Using incompatible chargers or tampering with the charger port could damage the device and void the warranty.

Turning Phone ON/OFF: To turn ON, press and hold the Power/Lock button on the right edge of your phone. To turn OFF, press and hold the Power/Lock button and follow the prompts.

Setting Up Your Google™ Account

Creating a New Account: Open the Google folder from the home screen and select the GMAIL application. Tap 'Add an email address', then 'Google'. Tap 'Create account' and follow the on-screen prompts.

Adding an Email Account: Touch the Home key > swipe up for apps > Settings > Accounts > Add Account. Tap the type of account you want to add. Follow the screen prompts to enter account information. Most accounts require a username and password.

Accessing Google Account: Open the Google folder from the home screen and select the GMAIL application.

Settings and Notifications: Touch Home > Settings. Tap > Settings > General Settings to customize preferences.

Security Settings

Set up a Pin or Pattern: Touch the Home key > swipe up for apps > Settings > Security > Screen lock. Choose None, Swipe, Pattern, PIN, or Password. Touch None to disable screen lock. Touch Swipe to enable unlocking by swiping the screen. Touch Pattern to create a pattern to unlock. Touch PIN or Password to create a PIN or Password. For Pattern, PIN, or Password, select notification preferences. Press Done.

Set up Fingerprint: Touch the Home Key > swipe up for apps > Settings > Security > Fingerprint. Follow on-screen prompts. Note: Remember your Pattern, PIN, or Password. Forgetting it may require a factory reset, erasing all data.

Making and Receiving Calls

How to Make and Receive Calls: From the Home Screen, tap the Phone icon. Tap the Keypad icon. Enter the number or contact name and select the contact. Tap the Call icon to place the call. Tap the Answer icon to answer an incoming call.

Adding Contacts: Access contacts by touching the Home Screen > swipe up for apps > Contacts. Touch the '+' sign. Enter contact details. To import contacts, go to Contacts > Merge & fix.

Contact Lookup: Touch Home Key > swipe up for apps > Contacts. Tap Search contacts and type the name.

Voicemail Setup

Voicemail Setup: Touch Settings > Voicemail and follow the options. To check voicemail, touch the Phone icon, then touch and hold the '1' key on the keypad. Enter your voicemail password and follow voice prompts.

Text and Picture Messaging

Sending a Text: From the home screen, tap the Messaging app. Tap 'Start chat'. Enter the recipient's name or number. Enter your message. Tap '+' to add an attachment or picture. Tap to send.

Quick Settings

Notification Panel: Access notification settings via Home key > swipe up for apps > Settings > Apps and notifications > Notifications.

Shortcut Buttons: To create an app shortcut, touch and hold an app and drag it to the home screen. The bottom area of the home screen can hold up to five customizable application shortcuts.

Using Your Mobile Internet

Accessing the Web: Touch Home key > swipe up for apps > Chrome.

Enabling Mobile Data: Touch Home key > swipe up for apps > Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network. Tap to enable or disable Mobile data.

Connecting to Wi-Fi: Touch the Home Screen > swipe up for apps > Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi. Ensure Wi-Fi is ON. Select a network or touch 'Add Network'. Enter network details and touch 'Connect'.

Bluetooth Connectivity

Turn ON/OFF: Connect with other Bluetooth devices within approximately 30 feet. Devices must be paired first. Touch the Home Screen > swipe up for apps > Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Bluetooth. Touch the switch to turn Bluetooth ON/OFF and then 'Pair new device'.

Pairing Devices: Ensure Bluetooth is ON. To identify your phone, go to Settings > Connected devices and touch '(Device name)' > 'Rename this device'. Your phone will scan for available Bluetooth devices. Touch '>' Refresh to scan again. Touch the name of the device you want to pair with.

Important Safety Information

Keep the phone away from dust, water, damp areas, precipitation, and humidity. The product, battery, charger, and AC adapter are not waterproof. Do not use the product where it might cause danger. Do NOT text and drive.

Battery Use: Handle and store batteries properly. Do not disassemble, crush, puncture, modify, immerse in liquids, or expose to fire or explosion. Use only manufacturer-approved batteries and chargers. Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations. Supervise children's battery usage. Avoid dropping the phone or battery.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Use a soft cloth to clean the product, battery, and charger. Do not use alcohol, diluted liquid, or benzene.

Disposal of Product and Batteries: Follow local regulations for disposal and recycling.

Certification Information (RoHS): Orbic phones are RoHS compliant.

Hearing Aid Compatibility Information: This device supports hearing aid compatibility (HAC) with ratings of M4/T3. Consult your service provider or the manufacturer for more information.

FCC SAR Warning: This phone meets government requirements for radio wave exposure. The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) limit is 1.6W/kg. For body-worn operation, use with an accessory that contains no metal and positions the handset a minimum of 10 mm from the body.

FCC Statement: This product complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to conditions that prevent harmful interference.

Limited Warranty

Who This Warranty Covers: The original purchaser in the United States for 12 months from the date of purchase (or 15 months from manufacture date if proof of purchase is unavailable). This warranty is non-transferable and conditioned upon proper product use.

What This Warranty Covers: Defects in material or workmanship that result in product failure during normal consumer usage will be repaired or replaced at Orbic's discretion, without charge for parts or labor.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover: Claims outside the warranty period, damage from misuse, abnormal conditions, unauthorized modifications or repairs, use of unapproved accessories, exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures, liquid damage, cosmetic damage from normal use, software issues, customer abuse, or physical damage.

Limits of Orbic's Liability: Orbic's responsibility is limited to the repair or replacement of the product. Implied warranties are limited to the duration of this limited warranty. Orbic is not liable for commercial loss, loss of use, data, profits, or consequential damages.

Dispute Resolution: Disputes will be resolved through final and binding arbitration according to AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules. The laws of the State of New York govern this warranty.
