Installation Steps
Follow these steps carefully for proper installation:
Step 1: Select Handing
Diagram shows the outside and inside views of the lock mechanism, indicating how to determine the correct handing (Left or Right) for the door.
Determine if the door requires a left-hand or right-hand lock configuration.
Step 2: Prepare the Door
Diagram illustrates using a template for marking and drilling holes in the door. Key dimensions shown are Ø14mm for spindle/bolt holes and a minimum Ø25mm for the main cylinder/handle bore.
Use the provided template to mark drilling points on the door. Drill holes as indicated: Ø14mm for the spindle and bolt, and a minimum Ø25mm for the main lock body.
Step 3: Install the Latch
Diagram shows the mortise latch being inserted into the edge of the door and secured with screws.
Insert the mortise latch into the prepared slot on the edge of the door. Secure the latch using the appropriate screws.
Step 4: Attach Outside Handle and Cylinder
Diagram shows the outside handle assembly being fitted onto the door, with the spindle passing through the latch mechanism and the cylinder housing.
Slide the outside handle assembly onto the door. Ensure the spindle correctly engages with the latch mechanism and the cylinder housing.
Step 5: Attach Inside Handle and Cover
Diagram shows the inside handle and cover plate being attached. It highlights securing the internal mechanism with screws. An accompanying "NOT OK" diagram illustrates an incorrect spindle insertion, preventing proper operation.
Fit the inside handle and cover plate. Secure the internal components using the provided screws. Ensure the spindle is correctly aligned to avoid operational issues (refer to "NOT OK" diagram).
Step 6: Insert Batteries
Diagram shows the battery compartment and the insertion of LR03 AAA batteries.
Open the battery compartment and insert LR03 AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.
Step 7: Install Internal Cover
Diagram shows the final internal cover plate being fitted over the lock mechanism.
Install the internal cover plate to protect the lock's electronics.
Step 8: Attach Final Outside Handle
Diagram shows the final attachment of the outside handle, likely securing it with screws.
Attach the exterior handle assembly and secure it firmly.
Step 9: Final Check and Programming Warning
Diagram shows the completed lock installation. A critical warning is displayed: "AT THIS POINT DO NOT CLOSE THE DOOR PROGRAM THE LOCK FIRST".
Crucial Warning: Before closing the door, ensure the lock is programmed. Do not close the door until the lock has been successfully programmed.
