Ælement Fusion for ANSI mortise locks
The Ælement Fusion's small, customizable light ring reader offers a discreet electronic lock for any type of building looking to deploy electronic access control with a stylish, yet technologically-advanced solution. Salto offers a variety of door handles and finishes to complement any door style. The Ælement Fusion ANSI version is specially designed to fit on ANSI standards profile doors.

- Maximum door thickness: 4-15/16" (125mm)

Diagrams:

Lock and control must be aligned.
Assembly Steps
- Component Identification: Diagrams show the reader cover, batteries (LR06 AA), control unit, reader, outside lever, outside spindle, privacy thumbturn, inside spindle, and inside lever.
- Preparation: Refer to document 221373 or 4DS00020 for door preparation. Mounting with other spindles voids the warranty. Screws and spindles are included in the reader box.
- Installation: Follow numbered steps (1-12) which detail the process of attaching components, connecting cables, and ensuring correct orientation.
- Orientation: Ensure correct UP orientation for the reader and internal components. Incorrect orientation is indicated by a red cross ❌.
- Cable Connection: Select the appropriate cable connection option (6a or 6b) based on the reader's position. Connect the lock and reader cables securely.
- Plugging In: Connect the plugs for the mortise lock cable and reader cable. Ensure correct connection as shown in diagrams 7a, 7b, 8a, and 8b.
- Final Assembly: Complete the assembly by attaching the remaining parts, ensuring all connections are secure.
- Important Note: At the point of final assembly, do not close the door. Program the lock first.
Emergency Opening
- Emergency Opening Procedure: The guide details how to perform an emergency opening using specific components like PPD800 and SP226093.
- Methods: Two methods (a and b) are illustrated for emergency opening, involving specific actions with the lock components.
Use and Maintenance
- Operating Conditions: 0°C < t < 60°C. Use in non-condensing environments.
- Battery Change: Instructions are provided for changing the batteries, including diagrams and warnings.
