Ergobaby Metro³ All-in-One Compact Stroller
This document provides essential safety warnings and instructions for the Ergobaby Metro³ stroller. Please read carefully and keep for future reference.
Important Safety Warnings
Usage: Suitable for newborns up to 22kg (48.5 lbs) or 4 years, whichever comes first. Maximum height: 40 inches (101.6cm).
General Safety:
- Always use the stroller in the fully reclined position for infants who have not yet developed good head and neck control.
- Always use the restraint system. Adjust to fit snugly. The Newborn Nest configuration does NOT replace the need to use the restraint system.
- NEVER leave the child unattended.
- Ensure all locking devices are engaged before use.
- Keep children away when unfolding and folding the product to avoid injury.
- Do not place more than 1 lb (0.45kg) in the seat back pocket.
- Do not place more than 22 lbs (10kg) in the basket. Exceeding the recommended load may cause instability.
- Do not let children play with the product.
- Check that the seat unit is correctly engaged before use.
- This product is not suitable for running or skating.
- Do not use with more than one child in the seat at a time.
- Lock the parking brakes and check stability before placing or removing your child. Never let your child climb in or out unassisted.
- Do not use if any part is damaged, broken, torn, or missing. Use only approved replacement parts and accessories.
- Do not use the basket as a child or pet carrier.
Specific Hazards:
- Fall Hazard: Avoid serious injury from falls or tip-overs. Any load attached to the handle, backrest, or sides will affect stability. Do not hang objects on these areas. Store diaper bags or similar items in the basket. Do not carry or lift the stroller with a child in it. Do not use on stairs or escalators. Use only Ergobaby-recommended bags.
- Strangulation Hazard: Children have STRANGLED in loose or partially buckled harness straps. Always use the restraint system. Never leave a child in the stroller with loose or undone straps. Do not place cords or straps near the stroller as they could wrap around a child's neck.
- Pinch Injury Hazard: Keep hands and fingers away from moving parts during folding, unfolding, and securing your child to prevent pinching.
- Loss of Control Hazard: NEVER leave the stroller unattended on a hill or incline, even with the parking brake locked. Use caution on uneven terrain or hills. ALWAYS lock the parking brake when stopped.
- Burn Hazard: Keep away from fire. Do not use near open flames.
Tips for Back Health
- Place the stroller on a table or elevated surface during setup to prevent back strain.
- Use the carry bag (sold separately) for longer transport.
- For healthy development, change the baby's position periodically during long strolls (e.g., switch between lying and sitting).
Weather Shield
IMPORTANT: Constantly monitor your child when using the Weather Shield. DO NOT use in warm weather. Remove if the child feels uncomfortable or sweats.
- The Metro weather shield is designed exclusively for the Metro 3 stroller.
- Ensure the stroller sunshade is correctly installed before installing the weather shield for proper airflow and to avoid suffocation risk.
- Make sure the weather shield does not contact the child's face during use.
Maintenance and Cleaning
- Avoid excessive sun or heat exposure to prevent fading or warping.
- Keep handlebar and folding mechanisms free of abrasive grime and moisture. Dry if wet.
- Regularly check rivets, screws, and safety devices for tightness and security.
- Inspect and replace wheels if necessary.
- Use only Ergobaby approved accessories and replacement parts.
- Upholstered Seat Pad: Machine wash cold with mild detergent. Do not bleach. Air dry. Do not use stroller without seat pad.
- Seat Base, Sunshade, Other Fabric Areas, Plastic/Metal Parts: Surface clean only with a damp cloth and mild detergent as needed. Air dry or dry with a cloth.
Warranty
Ergobaby™ uses high-quality dyes. Colors may fade with washing. Ergobaby is not responsible for faded colors due to laundering.
