This document provides instructions for the WORKPRO 4-Tier Heavy Duty Steel Garage Storage Shelving unit, model W082098A. It details safety precautions, specifications, package contents, and assembly procedures.
The shelving unit measures 68 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 65 inches high.

Safety Information
CAUTION!
- Do not exceed 1800 lbs (816.5 kgs) per shelf of evenly distributed weight.
- Do not exceed 7200 lbs (3265.9 kgs) for the entire unit of evenly distributed weight.
- Be aware of dynamic loading; sudden load movement may briefly create excess load causing product failure.
- Evenly distribute weight on each shelf, placing heaviest loads on the bottom shelf and lighter items on upper levels.
- Use only on a flat, level, and hard surface capable of supporting the shelving and any items placed on it.
- Maintain proper footing and balance at all times.
- Keep bystanders out of the assembly area.
- This product is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with, on, or near the unit during installation.
- To prevent tipping, always secure to a wall or floor with suitable fasteners (not included).
WARNING!
- DO NOT CLIMB, STAND, OR USE THIS UNIT AS A LADDER.
- DO NOT MOUNT CASTERS TO THIS UNIT.
- DO NOT USE THIS UNIT TO STORE AQUARIUMS.
- Use care when handling and assembling metal plates.
- The metal may have sharp edges or corners. The use of protective gloves is recommended.
- Always remember to use proper lifting techniques when moving the boxed or assembled unit.

Pre-Installation
- Identify the installation direction of accessories carefully.
- Assembly involves fitting locking tabs of beams (C) into slots of posts (A, B). The narrow end of teardrop-shaped post slots should face down, and the locking pin hole should be on top.
- The height of each layer can be selected and adjusted as needed.
- Ensure two extra metal wires of each shelf are on top.
- The bottom shelf assembly should be installed into the second and third teardrop-shaped slots at the bottom of posts.
- The top shelf assembly should be installed into the first and second teardrop-shaped slots at the top of posts.
- A rubber mallet may be used to tap down on the top of beams to properly seat the locking tabs into the narrow end of the teardrop-shaped slots.
- Visually inspect to ensure locking tabs are properly engaged into the teardrop-shaped slots.
- The attached signature sticker label can be affixed on any beam (C) as desired.
Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Posts Assembly
Note: Assemble on a flat surface. A piece of cardboard is recommended to prevent scratching. Two people are recommended.
Note: Two posts have pre-bolted horizontal braces, and two posts have a pre-bolted diagonal brace.
- Place one post with a diagonal brace (A) and one post with two horizontal braces (B) on the floor, parallel and about 24 inches apart. Ensure the narrow end of the teardrop-shaped slots faces down.
- Take the free end of the diagonal brace from post (A) and insert it into post (B). Align holes, attach with one M6 x 55mm bolt (AA) and one M6 nut (BB). Tighten with the 4mm hex key and 10mm wrench, but do not fully tighten yet.
- Swing out the bottom and top horizontal braces of post (B) and insert them into post (A). Align holes, attach with two M6 x 55mm bolts (AA) and two M6 nuts (BB). Tighten with the 4mm hex key and 10mm wrench, but do not fully tighten yet.
- Repeat steps 1-3 to assemble the second upright frame.
- Once both frames are assembled, fully tighten all bolts on all corners. Be careful not to over-tighten.
Step 2: Beams for First Level Assembly
Note: One person can hold frames while the second installs beams.
- Position the two post frames vertically with the foot end at ground level.
- Slide the locking tabs of a beam (C) into two slots of the posts (A/B). Ensure the narrow end of the teardrop-shaped slots faces down and the locking pin hole is on top. Tap downward lightly to seat tabs. Ensure the beam end is flush against the upright frame.
- Repeat for the beam on the opposite side for the first level. Ensure both beams are at the same height.
Note: Ensure all locking tabs are fully seated. A rubber mallet (not included) can be used. If tabs do not slip easily, recheck alignment. Excessive force may damage the interlock.
Step 3: Beams for Second to Fourth Level Assembly
Repeat Step 2 to install beams for the second, third, and fourth levels.
Note: Beams on the same level should be at the same height. Adjust by counting holes.
Step 4: Shelf Supports Assembly
- Align holes and attach shelf supports (E) to the beams (C) using six M6 x 55mm bolts (AA) and six M6 nuts (BB) for each shelf. This totals 24 bolts and 24 nuts. Tighten with the 4mm hex key and 10mm wrench.
Step 5: Wire Shelf Assembly
- Place four wire shelves (D) onto each assembled level on the frame. Ensure two extra wires of each shelf are on top.
Step 6: Shelf Supports Assembly (Locking Pins)
- Insert sixteen locking shelf pins (G) into the locking pin hole at both ends of every beam (C).
Note: If a locking shelf pin does not easily slip into place, moderately tap the end of the beam (closest to the upright frame) to fully seat the locking tabs.
Step 7: Top Protective Cover Assembly
- Place four top protective covers (F) on each post and tap downward lightly to seat the covers.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Wipe with a dry cloth as needed to remove dust and dirt.
- Avoid contact with corrosive substances like acids, alkaline, or similar substances.
