Signature Design by Ashley D594, D595, D596, D589-42 Assembly Instructions
Important Safety Notice
Always use proper tools. Follow the assembly steps in order; do not skip any steps. Carefully check all packing materials for small parts that may have come loose inside the carton during shipment. If parts are missing, contact the retailer from which you purchased the product to obtain any missing parts. DO NOT USE SUBSTITUTE PARTS. Periodically check to ensure that all connectors (bolts, screws, etc.) are tight. Keep these instructions for future reference.
Some assembly may involve attaching glass or mirrors. Be very careful handling glass or mirrors, as severe injury may result if they break. Never handle large pieces of glass or mirrors alone.
When assembling products with electrical cords (lamps, lights, etc.), always ensure the electrical cord is unplugged before assembly and be careful not to twist the electrical cord during assembly.
When assembling shelves or entertainment centers, do not stand on lower shelves to assemble upper shelves; use a step ladder.
Do not stand on tables, including end tables, coffee tables, and dinner tables, as tables are not designed to support the weight of a person.
Where assembly instructions state that two or more people are required, do not attempt assembly alone, as there is a risk of injury.
Note: Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC disclaims any liability for damages or injuries which may occur due to failure to properly follow assembly instructions, properly assemble the product, or properly use the product.
Note: Your unit may look different in appearance from the one shown in the illustrations on this instruction sheet.

Assembly Steps
Important Note: The unit should be assembled by two or more people. Do not tighten any bolts until all bolts have been started.
Step 1: Attach Legs to Table Top
Attach the four Legs (C) to the underside of the Table Top (A) using sixteen Bolts (H) and eight Washers (L). Use the Allen Wrench (K) to start tightening the bolts. Ensure all bolts are started before fully tightening.

Step 2: Attach Lower Shelf and Support Brace
Attach the Lower Shelf (D) and Support Brace (E) between the Legs (C). Secure them using eight Screws (G).

Step 3: Secure Corner Brackets
Attach the four Corner Brackets (F) to connect the Lower Shelf (D) and Support Brace (E) to the Legs (C). Use four Screws (J) for this step.

Step 4: Attach Table Top Surface
Attach the main Table Top surface (part of A) to the assembled leg structure. Secure it using four Screws (G).

Step 5: Prepare Table Top
Prepare the table top for leaf attachment. This may involve removing a component or sliding a part.

Step 6: Position Base on Table Top
Carefully place the assembled base structure onto the prepared table top.

Step 7: Prepare for Leaf Attachment (Optional)
Follow these instructions to add the leaf to the table (optional).

Step 8: Extend Table Mechanism
Extend the table mechanism by sliding the table halves apart. Arrows indicate the direction of extension.

Step 9: Place Leaf
Place the Leaf (B) onto the extended table top, aligning it with the gap.

Step 11: Lock Leaf in Place
Secure the leaf using the provided locking mechanisms. These mechanisms are typically located on the underside of the table and leaf.
