4. Getting Started

Charging the Keyboard

The keyboard features a charging indicator: a breathing green light indicates charging, while a solid green light means it is fully charged. The keyboard can be used while charging.

Connecting the Keyboard

A. Via Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Mode (2.4 GHz)

1. Plug the Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Receiver into a USB Type-A port on your computer.
2. Switch the keyboard to wireless mode by pressing the Fn key + F2 key. The F2 key will flash white while connecting and remain solid white when connected.

B. Via Bluetooth Mode

1. Switch to Bluetooth mode by pressing and holding the Fn key + 1, 2, or 3 keys for 5 seconds to select a Bluetooth profile. The selected profile key will briefly display the chosen Bluetooth profile. The keyboard can pair with up to 3 devices via Bluetooth profiles.
2. Connect to your PC via Bluetooth.

C. Via Wired Mode

1. Connect the USB Type-C cable to the keyboard.
2. Connect the USB Type-A end of the cable to your computer.

5. Using the Keyboard

Low Battery Notification

A low battery warning is indicated by a red flashing light on the battery indicator. This notification repeats until the battery is depleted or the keyboard is recharged.

Switching Between Wireless Modes

Use Fn + F2 to switch to Razer HyperSpeed Wireless mode. Use Fn + 1, 2, or 3 to switch to Bluetooth mode and select a profile.

Multifunction Scroll Wheel

• Volume Up: Scroll up.
• Volume Down: Scroll down.
• Mute/Unmute: Press the scroll wheel.

Multifunction Media Keys

• Previous Track: Press twice.
• Play/Pause: Press once.
• Next Track: Press three times.

AI Prompt Master

Press the AI Prompt Master key (I) to activate. This feature requires Razer Synapse.

Profile Hotkeys

Use the following key combinations to switch between profiles:

• Fn + Home ( ): White - Last used Synapse profile.
• Fn + Pg Up ( ): Red - Profile 1.
• Fn + Del ( ): Green - Profile 2.
• Fn + End ( ): Blue - Profile 3.
• Fn + Pg Dn ( ): Cyan - Profile 4.

Profiles 1-4 can be remapped and customized in Razer Synapse. Pressing the Fn key will illuminate the corresponding profile key.

Battery Status/Time Key

Press and hold the Battery Status/Time key for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate power saving mode. In power saving mode, the keyboard conserves battery by reducing polling rate, turning off lighting effects, and pausing Synapse connection.

Keyboard Functions

• Fn + F10 ( ): Disables Windows Key, Copilot Key, Alt+Tab, and Alt+F4 functions. These can be customized via Razer Synapse.
• Fn + F11 / F12: Adjusts keyboard LED brightness.
• Fn + F8 ( ): Pauses all system activity to save power.
• Fn + Left Shift ( ): Enables Snap Tap, which prioritizes the most recent input between two simultaneously pressed keys. The selected key briefly illuminates when enabled. Snap Tap is disabled by default and can be customized in Razer Synapse.

Macro Recording

To record a macro:

1. Press the hotkey combination to start recording.
2. Type the keys you want to record.
3. Press the hotkey combination again to stop recording, or press ESC to cancel.
4. The macro recording key will flash.
5. Press the desired macro key to save the recording to that key.

CHROMA Lighting Effects

Use the following key combinations to control Chroma lighting effects:

• Fn + Ctrl + 1: Off
• Fn + Ctrl + 2: Static Effect*
• Fn + Ctrl + 3: Breathing Effect*
• Fn + Ctrl + 4: Spectrum Cycling
• Fn + Ctrl + 5: Wave Effect**

6. Configuring Razer BlackWidow V4 Low-Profile Tenkeyless HyperSpeed

This guide outlines features of the Razer Synapse application. Some features may vary based on your device and software version. Razer Synapse requires an internet connection for installation, updates, and cloud-based features. Registering a Razer ID is recommended but not mandatory.

“SYNAPSE” Tab

When you first launch Razer Synapse, the “Synapse” tab is displayed. Use the following buttons to navigate the user interface:

• Minimize ( ): Minimizes the application to the system tray.
• Maximize ( ): Expands the window to fill the screen. Click again to restore.
• Close ( ): Closes all related tabs and terminates the application.
• Previous Tab ( ): Navigates to the previously viewed tab.
• Next Tab ( ): Navigates to the next tab.
• Refresh Tab ( ): Reloads the current page.

Download Updates ( ): Available if application changes are detected.

Dashboard

The “Dashboard” tab serves as the central control panel for all Razer Synapse devices, modules, and online services.

Devices and Modules

The “Modules” tab lists all installed and available modules.

General Hotkeys

Assign custom key combinations to any supported Razer Synapse device input for actions or Synapse functions, applied across all device profiles.

Gamer Room

The “Gamer Room” tab displays devices with Razer Aether ambient lighting capabilities, allowing you to view and manage them.

Chroma Coverage

This section allows you to select and customize lighting effects for your devices and synchronize them with Chroma-enabled games and applications via Razer Synapse.

Game Linking

Link applications to Razer peripherals. When a linked application launches, the device will automatically switch to the selected profile.

Devices

View peripherals and their associated applications. Filter applications by “View” and “Sort” options. Add new applications by dragging executable files or using the “Add” button (+) to search.

Customization

• Profiles: Manage profiles, save, load, rename, export, or delete them.
• Game Mode: Disable specific keys (Windows, Copilot, Alt+Tab, Alt+F4) when gaming.

4. Keep your wrists relaxed and straight while gaming. Avoid prolonged bending, stretching, or twisting of your hands.
5. Do not rest your wrists on hard surfaces for extended periods.
6. Use the wrist rest to support your wrists while gaming.
7. Customize key assignments to minimize repetitive or uncomfortable movements.
8. Take regular breaks to stand up, stretch your arms, and move your shoulders, neck, and legs.

Maintenance and Use
