Assembly Overview
This document provides assembly instructions for the HOMCOM bookshelf. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning assembly. Two people are recommended for assembly. Tools recommended: Screwdriver [✔️], Power Drill [❌].
Hardware Usage Guide
QUICKFIT Assembly:
Tighten the quickfit until the shoulder is flush with the panel. Do not overtighten or undertighten.
CAM LOCK Assembly:
When fitting the cam lock, ensure the starting position is correct before inserting the connecting quickfit. The quickfit head should be in the center of the cam lock when the two panels are joined. The cam lock should be inserted before the quickfit. Turn the cam lock clockwise to tighten.
Note: Ensure the quickfit head is centered in the cam lock. Do not use a power drill for cam lock assembly; use a screwdriver.
Wall Mounting Instructions
For solid walls, use expansion and self-tapping screws. For wooden walls, use only self-tapping screws. Do not overtighten the screws.
Installation on Brick Wall:
- Drill a hole into the wall.
- Insert an expansion plug into the hole.
- Insert the screw through the panel and into the wall.
- Ensure the screw is properly tightened.
Installation on Wooden Wall:
- Drill a pilot hole into the wooden wall.
- Insert the screw through the panel and into the wooden wall.
- Ensure the screw is properly tightened.

Assembly Steps
Follow the numbered steps below to assemble your bookshelf. Ensure all parts are correctly identified before starting.
- Step 1: Attach cam bolts (A) and cam locks (B) to panels 3, 4, 7, and 10 as shown in the diagram. Use screws (G, H, J, K, P) to secure panels 3, 4, 7, and 10.
- Step 2: Assemble the side panels (1, 2) with the internal shelves (5, 6, 7, 8) using cam bolts (A) and cam locks (B).
- Step 3: Connect the assembled side and shelf units. Ensure all cam locks are tightened.
- Step 4: Attach the back panels (11) using screws (O).
- Step 5: Attach the base and top panels (3, 4) to the main structure using cam bolts (A) and cam locks (B).
- Step 6: Attach the feet (12) to the base of the unit.
- Step 7: Attach the doors (E) using handles (D) and screws (F).
- Step 8: Secure the unit to the wall using wall anchors (M) and wall screws (N) if desired for stability.
