  • If diagrams show correct drawer, crisper, and shelf combinations, do not alter them, as they are designed for maximum energy efficiency.

Hints for Fresh Food Refrigeration

  • Do not place hot food directly into the refrigerator or freezer, as this increases internal temperature, makes the compressor work harder, and consumes more energy.
  • Cover or wrap food, especially if it has a strong flavor.
  • Arrange food so air can circulate freely.

Hints for Freezing

  • When first starting up or after a long period of disuse, let the appliance run at higher settings for at least 2 hours before adding food.
  • Prepare food in small portions for rapid, complete freezing and to allow thawing only the required quantity.
  • Wrap food in airtight aluminum foil or cling wraps.
  • Do not let fresh, unfrozen food touch already frozen food to prevent temperature rise.
  • Iced products (ice cubes, popsicles) consumed immediately after removal may cause frost burns.
  • Label and date each frozen package to track storage time.

Hints for Storing Frozen Food

  • Ensure frozen food was stored correctly by the retailer.
  • Once defrosted, food deteriorates rapidly and should not be refrozen. Do not exceed the food manufacturer's indicated storage period.

Switching Off Your Appliance

If the appliance needs to be switched off for an extended period:

  1. Remove all food.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the socket.
