Important Installation Information
- Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the latest national wiring regulations.
- Mains supply voltage: 200-240V AC 50Hz.
- For indoor use only.
- Ensure all electrical connections are tight with no loose strands.
- Class II, Double Insulated: Earth connection is not required.
- This luminaire is not suitable for covering with insulation material.
- IP54 rated: Protected against splashing water from all directions when correctly installed. Suitable for installation in locations containing a bath or shower, as defined by the National Wiring Regulations, Zones 1 & 2, EXCEPT where water jets are likely.
- The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of life, the whole luminaire shall be replaced.
- Aurora Lighting does not recommend mixing LED circuits with products such as extractor fans due to the sensitive nature of LEDs. This is not product specific.
- Compatibility with PIR sensors may vary; please contact Aurora Lighting sales for compatibility information.
- Energy efficiency classes: E (AU-DDLH412CS, AU-DDLH818CS, AU-DDLH835CS), D (AU-DDLH618CS, AU-DDLH825CS).
Installation Steps
Step 1: Preparation
Ensure the luminaire's integrated switch is set to the 'OFF' position before commencing installation.
Visual: A switch on the luminaire with 'ON' and 'OFF' positions. The switch should be set to 'OFF'.Step 2: Ceiling Cutout Dimensions
Refer to the following dimensions for correct ceiling cutout diameter (Ø) and minimum ceiling thickness (t):
- AU-DDLH412CS: Ø 120-130mm
- AU-DDLH618CS: Ø 160-170mm
- AU-DDLH818CS: Ø 200-210mm
- AU-DDLH825CS: Ø 200-210mm
- AU-DDLH835CS: Ø 200-210mm
- Minimum ceiling thickness (t): ≥ 10mm
Step 3: Clearance and Connections
Ensure adequate clearance around the luminaire for ventilation and installation:
- Minimum void depth: 80mm
- Minimum side clearance: 25mm
The luminaire connects to a 240V Mains Input via its LED Driver.

Adjust the colour temperature of the downlight using the integrated selection slider. Options available are 3000K (Warm White), 4000K (Cool White), and 6500K (Daylight).

Connect the mains supply wires to the appropriate terminals on the LED driver:
- Connect the Brown wire (Live) to the 'L' terminal.
- Connect the Blue wire (Neutral) to the 'N' terminal.
Step 6: Secure Wire Termination
Ensure all wires are securely inserted and terminated into their respective terminals.

Carefully insert the luminaire into the prepared ceiling cutout, ensuring it fits snugly.

Once installed, set the luminaire's integrated switch to the 'ON' position to confirm operation.
