Introduction

The Ecler ARQISi series of loudspeakers is designed for fixed installation, particularly in environments requiring compact speakers with high output, easy installation, long-term reliability, and excellent sound quality. This series is an evolution of the acclaimed ARQIS series, offering fine-tuned sound balance, improved frequency response, increased power (ARQIS110i, ARQIS112i), and the addition of a new subwoofer model (ARQISSB12i). The ARQIS105i, ARQIS106i, and ARQIS108i models feature the new VEASY wall bracket, which is VESA mounting standard compatible and allows for easy vertical and horizontal adjustment. The entire range includes a square logo that can be rotated 90 degrees without tools.

The ARQISi series is ideal for various applications including shopping centres, sports centres, theatres/auditoriums, conference rooms, audio-visual presentations, corporate rooms, and perimeter reinforcement in clubs, cafes, restaurants, and theme parks.

11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12. Unplug the apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.
13. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Servicing is required if the apparatus is damaged (e.g., power supply cord, plug, spilled liquid, dropped unit, exposure to rain/moisture, or failure to operate normally).
14. Disconnecting from mains: Switching off the POWER switch stops functions, but full disconnection is achieved by unplugging the power cable from the mains input socket, which must remain easily accessible.
15. Equipment is connected to a socket-outlet with earthing connection via a power cord.
16. Marking information is located at the bottom of the unit.
17. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no liquid-filled objects (e.g., vases) shall be placed on it.

Connections

Connection cables between amplifiers and speakers should be of good quality, have sufficient conductor area, and be as short as possible. This is especially important for long distances and low load impedance (4-8 Ohm). A cross-section of at least 2.5mm² is recommended for distances up to 10m; 4 or 6mm² for longer distances. The required section can be calculated using the formula: Cross section in mm² = (Length in m / Loudspeaker impedance in Ω) * 4% losses.

Always respect polarity. All models feature an Euroblock connector, and a second connector (Euroblock or Speakon®, depending on model), facilitating parallel speaker connection.

6.1 ARQISSB6Ti

The ARQISSB6Ti supports high or low impedance operation via a 3-position switch on its rear panel. The 8Ω/120W position is for low impedance operation at a maximum power of 120W. The two positions for the 70/100V line allow setting the maximum power per unit (60/120W @ 100V | 30/60W @ 70W).

Note: Loudspeaker distribution on a 70/100V line allows mixing loudspeakers of different impedances/powers on the same amplification line or channel without concern for total impedance. This enables long cable runs with smaller sections and minimum power losses compared to low-impedance installations.

WARNING! Connecting the loudspeaker with the switch in the 100V/60W position to a low-impedance amplifier will not damage the unit but will result in performance below specifications. Connecting the loudspeaker to a 70V/100V network in the 8Ω position will cause serious damage.

Positioning

Consider the following general rules for positioning:

• Place speakers on a solid and firm surface.
• Subwoofers placed directly and horizontally on the ground may offer higher output than when hanged or placed vertically.
• Ensure no obstacles are between the enclosures and the audience. High frequencies are directive, so obstacles can impair their response.
• For large audiences, achieving better long-distance sound propagation is possible if enclosures are flown high enough.

Installation

The optimal installation method for the enclosure was studied for each model in the ARQISi series. Each model is supplied with its optimal installation system. Models ARQIS106i, ARQIS108i, ARQIS205i, ARQIS208i, ARQIS110i, and ARQIS112i can be installed horizontally and vertically using the included accessories and the 1" rotatable compression driver.

Note: By factory default, the compression driver is positioned the same as the logo on the speaker grille (horizontal or vertical).

ARQIS205i, ARQIS208i, ARQIS110i, ARQIS112i, ARQISSB10i, and ARQISSB15i also feature built-in M8 rigging points for suspension from compatible structures or trusses using steel cables.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Never suspend equipment using its carrying handles. Use appropriate accessories for each application. When using a ceiling/wall mounting bracket, a redundant safety system (e.g., wire ropes, slings, or chains of appropriate diameter) is mandatory to prevent the speaker from falling if the main mounting system fails.
