Assembly & Installation Instructions
Step 1: Initial Preparation
Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and check that all parts and accessories are included as shown in the illustration.
Step 2: Turn Off Power
Before you start the installation, NEVER attempt any work without shutting off the electricity until the work is done.
- Go to the main fuse, or circuit breaker, box in your home. Place the main power switch in the “OFF” position.
- Place the wall switch in the “OFF” position.
Step 3: Make Assembly
Step A1: Prepare Arm and Back Plate
Illustration shows connecting the arm (I) through the back plate (H) and securing it with hex nut (E), washer (F), and iron sheet (G).
- Unscrew knob nuts (J) from mounting plate (D), then set them aside for later installation.
- Pass arm (I) through the hole in back plate (H).
- Screw hex nut (E) through washer (F) and iron sheet (G) to arm (I) as shown in the illustration.
Step A2: Mount the Plate
Illustration shows passing supply wires from an outlet box through the mounting plate (D) and securing the mounting plate (D) to the outlet box with mounting screws (A).
Carefully pass the supply wires from the outlet box through mounting plate (D). Secure mounting plate (D) to the outlet box with mounting screws (A).
Step A3: Make Wire Connections
Illustration shows the process of connecting electrical wires, including ground wires and supply wires, using wire connectors.
Connect wires as shown in the connection diagrams. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GROUND WIRE IS BARE COPPER WIRE; NEVER CONNECT OTHER WIRES TO GROUND WIRES.
Connecting Ground Wires
Connect ground wires according to the chart:
- Diagram A: Outlet Box Ground connected to Fixture Ground using Green Ground Screw.
- Diagram B: Outlet Box Ground connected to Fixture Ground, with a Cupped Washer and Dimples.
Connecting Supply Wires
Connect Ground Wires | Connect Supply Wires | Connect White Supply Wire to: |

|
* Note: When parallel wires (SPT I & SPT II) are used, the neutral wire is square shaped or ridged and the other wire will be round in shape or smooth (see illustration). |
Twist wires together with plastic wire connectors until tightly joined, and wrap each connector with approved electrical tape. Be sure that no wire strands are exposed and then carefully tuck all wires into the outlet box.
Step A4: Attach Back Plate
Illustration shows aligning the back plate (H) with mounting screws and securing it to the mounting plate (D) with knob nuts (J).
Align the holes in back plate (H) with the pre-assembled mounting screws, then attach back plate (H) to mounting plate (D) with the previously removed knob nuts (J). Hand tighten until snug.
NOTE: Back plate (H) should be snug against the wall with knob nuts (J). If not, remove back plate (H), adjust the threaded length of pre-assembled mounting screws on mounting plate (D):
- Unscrew the pre-assembled hex nuts.
- Screw the pre-assembled mounting screws in or out of mounting plate (D).
- When the secure length is achieved, tighten the pre-assembled hex nuts and return to Step A4.
Step A5: Install Glass Shade and Bulb
Illustration shows attaching the glass shade (L) to the socket (K) using the socket ring (M).
- Remove socket ring (M) from socket (K).
- Fix glass shade (L) to socket (K) with socket ring (M).
- Install the bulb (Not included). Please do not exceed the maximum wattage recommended on the socket.
Step 4: Final Check
