WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury:

  1. Installation by a licensed electrician is suggested.
  2. Read and save these instructions for future reference.
  3. Safety First: NEVER attempt any electrical work without first shutting off the electricity at the main fuse or circuit breaker box and placing the main power switch in the "OFF" position. Ensure the wall switch is also in the "OFF" position.
  4. Mounting Surface: Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, flat, and at least 1/4" larger than the canopy on all sides. Correct any gaps exceeding 3/16" between the mounting surface and canopy.
  5. Verify the ceiling or wall can support the weight of the lamp.
  6. Confirm your voltage is 120V. The maximum wattage per bulb is 40W.
  7. Keep the lamp away from acidic and alkaline substances to prevent surface damage.
  8. When replacing bulbs, turn off or unplug the lamp and wait for it to cool down, as bulbs can get hot.
  9. These safety instructions are not exhaustive. Common sense, caution, and care are essential when working with any electrical products.

Assembly & Installation Instructions

Pre-installation

  1. Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and verify that all parts and accessories are present as illustrated.
  2. Step A1: Pass the fixture wires through the flat spacers, upper frame (N), adapters (L), and tubes (K). Screw the adapters (L) and tubes (K) onto the stems (R). Adjust the angle of the sockets assemblies (S) as needed.
  3. Step A2: Insert the battens (P), front frames (Q), and side frames (O) into the lower frame (T). Secure them using the nuts (M).
  4. Step A3: Insert the battens (P), front frames (Q), and side frames (O) into the upper frame (N). Secure them using the nuts (M).

Chain and Wire Preparation

  1. Step B1: Measure and determine the correct number of chain links required for the desired hanging height. Use chain pliers to disconnect and remove any excess links.
  2. Step B2: Attach quick links (H) to the chains (J) and loops (G) on the canopy (F) and the top of the stems (K).
  3. Step B3: Carefully thread the fixture wires through the chains (J), weaving them in and out of every other link. Stop when the wires reach the top of the chains (J). Gently pull the wires to ensure they are not stressed.

Power Off

Before proceeding with installation, ALWAYS shut off the electricity at the main fuse or circuit breaker box. Ensure the main power switch and wall switch are in the "OFF" position.

Make Installation

  1. Step B1: Unscrew the ball knobs (I) and carefully remove the mounting plate assembly (C).
  2. Step B2: Carefully pass the supply wires from the outlet box through the mounting plate (C).
  3. Note on Drilling for Anchors: To install anchors (B) on the wall: Attach the mounting plate (C) to the outlet box with mounting screws (D) and mark the hole locations. Unscrew the mounting screws (D) and remove the mounting plate (C). Drill holes at the marked locations and gently insert anchors (B) until they are flush with the wall.
  4. Secure the mounting plate (C) to the outlet box using mounting screws (D) and wood screws (E).
  5. Step B3: If necessary, shorten the fixture wires. Ensure at least 6 inches of wire length remains above the mounting plate assembly (C).
  6. Step B4: Make wire connections. Connect wires as shown in the diagrams. IMPORTANT: The ground wire is BARE COPPER WIRE; do not connect other wires to it.
  7. Wire Connection Guide:
    • Connect Black or Red Supply Wire to: Black fixture wire. (For parallel cord: round & smooth; For other wires: clear, brown, gold, or black without tracer; insulated wire with copper conductor)
    • Connect White Supply Wire to: White fixture wire. (For parallel cord: square & ridged; For other wires: clear, brown, gold, or black with tracer; insulated wire with silver conductor)

Note: For parallel wires (SPTI & SPTII), the neutral wire is typically square-shaped or ridged, while the hot wire is round or smooth.

  8. Twist wires together securely using plastic wire connectors. Wrap each connector with approved electrical tape, ensuring no wire strands are exposed. Carefully tuck all connected wires into the outlet box.
  9. Step B5: Raise the canopy (F) to the ceiling and secure it in place by tightening the ball knobs (I) onto the pre-assembled mounting screws on the mounting plate assembly (C).
  10. Note on Canopy Fit: The canopy (F) should be snug against the ceiling. If it is not, remove the canopy (F) and adjust the threaded length of the pre-assembled mounting screws on the mounting plate assembly (C). First, unscrew the pre-assembled hex nuts. Then, screw the mounting screws in or out of the mounting plate (C). Once the correct length is achieved, tighten the pre-assembled hex nuts and repeat Step B5.
  11. Step B6: Install bulbs (not included). Do not exceed the maximum wattage recommended for the socket.

Final Check

Ensure all components are installed correctly. You may now turn on the light. Enjoy!
