I. Package Contents
The package includes:
- 1 x FreeOdio Bean earbuds
- Ear Tips & Ear Wings (multiple sizes)
- 1 x User Manual
- 1 x USB Type-C Charging Cable
II. Charging Cabin
To charge the cabin:
- Insert the USB Type-C cable into the charging port.
- Alternatively, place the cabin on a wireless charger.
The base indicator shows the charging status. The cabin should be fully charged with white lights solid on for the first time. Power adapter or wireless charger is not included.
III. Charging Earbuds
To charge the earbuds:
- Remove the sticker from the earbuds.
- Place the earbuds into the charging cabin.
The charging status indicates when the earbuds are charging (Blue Light On) and when they are fully charged (Blue Light Off). The earbuds have an LED indicator and a multifunction button.
IV. Turn ON/Turn OFF
Automatic: The earbuds turn on automatically when removed from the charging case and turn off when placed back in the case.
Manual:
- To turn ON: Press and hold the multifunction button for 4 seconds.
- To turn OFF: Press and hold the multifunction button for 5 seconds.
V. How to Wear
- Identify the left (L) and right (R) earbuds.
- Rotate the earbuds and adjust them in your ear to find the best angle for a comfortable and secure fit.
VI. Connect to Device
To connect the FreeOdio Bean to your device:
- Go to your device's Bluetooth settings.
- Turn on Bluetooth.
- Select "FreeOdio Bean" from the list of available devices to pair.
A pairing prompt will appear on your device.
VII. Music Control
- One Tap: Play/Pause music.
- Hold (2s): Previous song (Left earbud) / Next song (Right earbud).
- Triple Tap: Activate Voice Assistant.
VIII. ANC/APT Mode
Double Tap: Switch between ANC ON, ANC OFF, and APT (Ambient Sound) modes.
- ANC: Active Noise Cancelling.
- APT: Ambient sound can be heard.
IX. Communication
- One Tap: Answer a call / End a call.
- Hold (2s): Reject an incoming call.
Reset Earbuds
- Take both earbuds out of the charging cabin and turn them off manually.
- 4 seconds later, press and hold the multifunction button for 12 seconds (from turning on to turning off).
- Put the earbuds back into the charging cabin after 3 seconds and wait for another 3 seconds to complete the reset.

XI. FCC Statement
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. XII. Maintenance
- Clean earbuds regularly with a dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, thinners, or other solvents.
- Do not expose to sun or high heat, as this can damage components and deform plastic parts.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the product.
- Keep the product dry and away from humid environments.
- Clean the charging cabin with a dry, soft cotton swab.
- Clean earbuds with clean water, not alcohol, petrol, saltwater, or corrosive liquids.
- Charge at least once a month if not in use for extended periods.
XII. Safety & Warranty
Important Safety Instructions
- Avoid listening at extremely high volumes to prevent hearing damage.
- Supervise children closely when they are near the charging cabin.
- Use caution and follow laws regarding mobile phone and earphone use while driving. Do not use earbuds for purposes other than calls while driving.
Preventing damage to the product and malfunctions
- Keep the product dry and avoid extreme temperatures to prevent corrosion or deformation.
- Use only ABLEGRID-specified accessories.
- Do not disassemble, fire, or heat the charging cabin, as this may cause static, short circuits, or fire.
Tips for maintenance
- Keep earphones away from damp or humid environments.
- Clean the charging cabin with a dry, soft cotton swab.
- Clean earbuds with clean water, not alcohol, petrol, saltwater, or other corrosive liquids.
- Charge at least once a month if the product is left unused for a long time.
Questions & Answers
- Q: Where is the OFF/ON buttons?
- A: There are no physical buttons on the earbuds. To power them off, place both earbuds in the charging case and close the case.
- Q: What is the distance of the phone and earbuds?
- A: It depends on the Bluetooth chip in your phone. Generally within about 65 feet.
- Q: Is this really waterproof? What is the rating of it?
- A: Yes, the FreeOdio Bean has a waterproof rating of IPX5. The earbuds withstand water jets from any direction. Do not use underwater. Kindly note that the charging case is not waterproof.
- Q: Is it possible to control volume on the earbuds?
- A: No, you can control volume on the phone.
- Q: Does the case charge wirelessly, or do you have to plug it in?
- A: Yes, it does support wireless charging but also can be charged with a regular charger, and with four LED lights to display the charging capacity.
- Q: My left bud stopped working. How would I reset or fix the issue?
- A: Pick up 2 earbuds from charging case, Long press 4s to turn them off manually (LED indicators stay white for 1s and turn off). Then long press for 10s from turning them on to turning them off (LED indicators stay blue for 1s and turn on, then blinks white and blue, finally stay white for 1s and turn off). Finally, put the earbuds into charging case, reset complete.
- Q: If the buds allow me to hear outside voices, can others hear the content that I'm listening to?
- A: No, not at all.
- Q: Will these work with Apple watch/Xbox/laptop/smart TV/iPhone/Samsung/HTC...etc?
- A: Sure, they will work with up to Bluetooth v5.1 on any device, in other words, it will work if it has bluetooth.
