BMI Table
The Body Mass Index (BMI) is a standard measure of body weight and health status. The table below provides general guidelines for men and women:
Age | Under-weight | Healthy weight | Over-weight | Obesity | Severe obesity |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
18-100 | <18.5 | 18.5-23.9 | 24-27.9 | 28-34.9 | >35 |
BMI Calculation: Body Mass Index (BMI) = Weight (kg) / Height² (m)
Example: BMI = 70kg / (1.75m * 1.75m) = 22.86 (healthy weight)
Note: The BMI Index is a commonly used standard to measure body weight and health status.
Preparations Before Use
Activate from Shipping Sleep Mode and Charge It
Press the [power-button] to activate the scale from Sleep Mode and turn it on. If the display shows "Lo" or no display, connect the supplied [usb-c-cable] to the charging port and the other end to a USB power outlet. Charge for 2 hours.
Switch Unit
To change the weight unit (kg, lb, st:lb), tap the "UNIT" area on the underside of the scale. The corresponding unit will be set synchronously in the "Fitdays" app. Refer to page 8 for app settings.
How to Place the Scale Properly
Place the scale on a flat, hard floor. Ensure all four feet of the scale are in contact with the ground without gaps. Do not place the scale on a soft carpet or linoleum, as this can affect measurement accuracy.
A condition where the foot does not touch the ground can cause inaccurate weight measurements.
Download App and Create User Data
Download App and Register User Account
Scan the QR code to download the "Fitdays" app. Available on the [app-store-icon] App Store and [google-play-icon] Google Play.
Setting personal information
When creating a user profile in the app, ensure you fill in correct details: Gender, Date of Birth (year is crucial), and Height. This information is used in the body index formula, and incorrect data will lead to inaccurate results.
The information you provide will not be used for any other purpose and will be kept confidential.
How to Pair with Bluetooth
Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
Pair the Scale
1. In the "Fitdays" app, navigate to "Device".
2. Search for and pair the scale (identified as "A-SCALE X").
3. Tap "Confirm" to complete Bluetooth pairing.
You will become the owner of the device. If the device was previously bound to another account, it will be reset.
Correct standing posture is required, as well as precautions:
Correct Posture: Stand with feet centered on the scale, spaced comfortably apart, and balanced.
Incorrect Postures:
- Feet too close together.
- Feet touching each other.
- Touching the center metal plate with both feet simultaneously.
Weight can be measured in the wrong standing posture, but body fat data may be inaccurate. Do not touch the center metal plate with both feet at the same time.
Precautions:
- Remove the protective sticker from the scale surface before first use.
- Use the scale with bare, dry feet. Do not wear socks or shoes.
- Ensure feet are dry. Cuticle-covered soles can also affect accuracy.
How to Measure
Ensure the skin of the knee or thigh does not come into contact with each other during measurement. If unavoidable, wear lightweight long pants or pajama pants.
Measurement Steps:
- Gently press the scale to wake it up.
- Wait for the display to show "0.0".
- Step onto the scale with bare feet, ensuring full contact with the four ITO conductive films.
- Stand still while the weight value flashes three times and locks. The body weight is then measured.
Please take off your shoes and socks, otherwise the scale can only measure your weight.
Wait until the displayed values (weight and heart rate [heart-shape]) stop blinking to confirm the measurement is complete.
If the display screen does not show any readings, try wetting the soles of your feet and measure again. Do not step off the scale until the measurement is complete.
Offline Measurement without Using App
After the scale has your user profile and initial measurement data, you can take measurements without a smartphone or app. Results are displayed on the scale and stored in its memory. When you open the app later, historical data will be uploaded.
The scale can store up to 40 measurements. Data older than the 40 most recent measurements will be overwritten. It is recommended to sync data with the app periodically for backup.
