This document provides assembly instructions for the IKEA SLATTUM upholstered bed frame. Please follow these steps carefully to ensure correct and safe assembly.

Assembly Steps

Step 1: Prepare Headboard/Footboard Posts

Attach the vertical posts to the main headboard/footboard structure. Ensure correct orientation. Use Allen key (130445) and bolts (128574). [Check symbol] Correct assembly, [Cross symbol] Incorrect assembly.

Step 2: Attach Side Rails

Connect the side rails to the vertical posts. Use Allen key (130445) and bolts (128574). Ensure the rails are securely fastened.

Step 3: Repeat Post Attachment

Repeat Step 1 for the opposite end of the bed frame.

Step 4: Repeat Side Rail Attachment

Repeat Step 2 for the other side rail.

Step 5: Install Central Support Beam (Headboard/Footboard Connection)

Attach the central support beam to the headboard and footboard. Use bolts (146655) and washers. [Warning symbol] Be cautious during this step.

Step 6: Connect Central Support Beam to Side Rails

Secure the central support beam to the side rails using bolts (146655) and washers.

Step 7: Finalize Central Support Beam Attachment

Ensure the central support beam is firmly attached to all connection points.

Step 8: Attach Corner Brackets

Install the corner brackets at the designated points on the frame. Use bolts (105107) and end caps (191315).

Step 9: Attach Side Support Panels

Position the side support panels onto the frame. Arrows indicate insertion direction.

Step 10: Secure Side Support Panels

Fasten the side support panels using bolts (128574).

Step 11: Attach Second Set of Side Support Panels

Attach the remaining side support panels.

Step 12: Secure Second Set of Side Support Panels

Secure these panels with bolts (112091).

Step 13: Connect Central Support Beam to Side Rails (Second Connection)

Attach the central support beam to the side rails again, using bolts (128574).

Step 14: Connect Central Support Beam to Headboard/Footboard (Second Connection)

Secure the central support beam to the headboard/footboard using bolts (112091).

Step 15: Attach Cylindrical Feet

Screw the cylindrical feet into the base of the bed frame. Use bolts (130445).

Step 16: Final Tightening of Central Support

Ensure all connections for the central support beam are tightened using bolts (112091).

Step 17: Assemble Long Support Structure

Connect two longer support pieces using the connector (10050800) and bolts (130445). [Warning symbol] Be careful with alignment.

Step 18: Attach Assembled Support Structure

Mount the assembled support structure onto the bed frame. Use bolts (128574) and washers.

Step 19: Complete Support Structure Attachment

Attach the other end of the support structure to the frame using bolts (128574) and washers.

Step 20: Place Bed Slats

Carefully place the bed slats onto the assembled frame, distributing them evenly.

Step 21: Secure Bed Slats

Fasten the bed slats using the provided hardware (bolts 112091 and 130445, and washers). [Check symbol] Ensure all slats are secure.

Ensure all parts are present before starting.
Assemble on a soft surface to prevent scratching.
Do not overtighten screws.
