Assembly Instructions

General Assembly Tips

Before starting, ensure you have the necessary tools, typically screwdrivers. It is recommended to have two people for assembly. Assemble on a soft surface, such as a rug, to prevent scratches. Always check that all parts are present before beginning. If you encounter any issues or need assistance, please contact IKEA.

Step 1: Prepare Side Beams

? Use dowel 101353. Do not use dowel 101348.

Insert four (4x) dowels (101353) into the pre-drilled holes on the side beams.

Step 2: Attach Brackets to Side Beams

? Use screw 100214. Do not use screw 130445.

Attach four (4x) brackets (10119670) to the side beams using four (4x) screws (100214) and the Allen key (130445). Ensure the brackets are oriented correctly.

Step 3: Prepare Base Plates

? Use dowel 101348. Do not use dowel 101353.

Insert six (6x) dowels (101348) into the base plates. Attach two (2x) square wooden blocks (101353) to each base plate using two (2x) screws (101348) per block.

Step 4: Attach Base Plates to Side Frames

? Use screw 10092485. Do not use screw 112091.

Attach the assembled base plates to the side frames using four (4x) screws (10092485) and the Allen key (112091) for each side.

Step 5: Attach More Brackets

Attach four (4x) brackets (10119670) to the side frames.

Step 6: Install Seat Mechanism Components

? Use screw 130445. Do not use screw 112091.

Insert four (4x) pins (130445) into the mechanism housing. Attach the mechanism housing (10050800) to the frame using four (4x) screws (112091) and the Allen key (130445). A 'click' sound indicates proper attachment.

Step 7: Attach Base Plates to Side Frames (Continued)

? Use screw 10114785. Do not use screw 10103585.

Attach the base plates to the side frames using four (4x) screws (10114785) and the Allen key.

Step 8: Attach Final Brackets

? Use screw 112091. Do not use screw 128864.

Attach four (4x) brackets (10119670) to the side frames. Insert eight (8x) screws (112091) and tighten them with the Allen key (130445).

Step 9: Prepare Side Panels

? Use dowel 101353.

Insert two (2x) dowels (101353) into the side panels.

Step 10: Attach Vertical Supports

Attach the vertical support beams (118331) to the base structure using four (4x) screws (118331).

Step 11: Attach Armrest Supports

Attach the armrest supports (113434) to the frame using four (4x) screws (118331). A 'click' sound indicates proper attachment.

Step 12: Connect Side Panels

Connect the side panels to the base structure using four (4x) screws (118331).

Step 13: Connect More Side Panels

Connect the side panels to the base structure using four (4x) screws (118331).

Step 14: Attach Main Support Bar

? Use screw 111631. Do not use screw 128864.

Attach the main support bar using eight (8x) screws (128864) and four (4x) springs (111631).

Step 15: Secure Seat Mechanism

? Use screw 10050800. Do not use screw 130445.

Attach the seat mechanism housing (10050800) to the frame using two (2x) screws (154571) and the Allen key (130445). A 'click' sound indicates proper attachment.

Step 16: Attach Seat Cushions

Attach the seat cushions (10114785) to the frame using two (2x) clips (10119655).

Step 17: Attach Backrest Cushions

Attach the backrest cushions (10119654) to the frame using two (2x) clips (10119655).

Step 18: Place Folded Mattress/Cushion Unit

? Use cushion/pad 10114785. Do not use cushion/pad 10103585.

Place the folded mattress/cushion unit (10103585) onto the frame.

Step 19: Unfold Mattress/Cushion Unit

Unfold the mattress/cushion unit to form the bed base.

Step 20: Secure Unfolded Mattress/Cushion Unit

Secure the unfolded mattress/cushion unit by attaching two (2x) clips (10119654) to the frame. A 'click' sound indicates proper attachment.

Step 21: Attach Final Cushions

Attach the final cushions to the armchair.

Step 22: Fold Mattress/Cushion Unit

Fold the mattress/cushion unit back into the armchair configuration.

Step 23: Place Back Cushion

Place the back cushion onto the armchair.
