LCD Screen

The LCD screen displays weight, volume, and status indicators. Key elements include:

  • Tare function indicator: [tare icon] (appears when tare function is active)
  • Zero function indicator: [zero icon] (appears when zero function is active)
  • Negative value indicator: (appears if weight is removed after taring)
  • Working modes: [weight mode icon] (for weight), [milk mode icon] (for milk volume), [water mode icon] (for water volume)
  • Units: Displays units like g, lb:oz, ml, fl'oz
The LCD screen shows a numerical reading, units (e.g., 'fl'oz ml g'), and icons indicating functions like tare, zero, and working modes.

Buttons

The scale features two main buttons:

  • [power/zero button] (ZERO): Used to turn the scale ON/OFF, and to activate Zero and Tare functions.
  • [mode button] (MODE): Used for mode and unit conversion.

Operating Instructions

Getting Started

  1. Place the scale on a solid and flat surface.
  2. Press the [power/zero button] to turn the scale ON.
  3. Wait until the LCD shows "0" to start weighing.

Weighing Mode

To weigh an object:

  1. Ensure the scale is in weight mode (display shows 'g' or 'lb:oz'). If not, press the [mode button] to convert.
  2. Load the object onto the scale. The LCD will show the weight reading.
Diagram showing the scale display changing from '0' to a weight reading (e.g., '86 g') after an object is placed on it.

Volume Weighing Mode (Milk/Water)

To measure the volume of milk or water:

  1. Place the scale on a solid and flat surface and turn it ON.
  2. Press the [mode button] until the desired volume unit (ml or fl'oz) is displayed.
  3. Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
  4. Press the [power/zero button] to reset the LCD screen to "0". This is the Tare function for the container.
  5. Pour the liquid (water or milk) into the container. The LCD screen will indicate the volume of the liquid.
Diagram illustrating volume measurement: scale shows '0', then '0' after placing a container and pressing Tare, then displays the volume (e.g., '424 ml', '412 ml', '123 ml') as liquid is poured.

Zero and Tare Functions

These functions allow consecutive weighing without needing to remove items from the platform. They are useful for weighing ingredients in a container without including the container's weight.

  • Zero Function: When the total load on the scale is less than 7 oz (200 g), pressing the [power/zero button] will reset the display to "0". A [zero icon] will appear on the LCD. This does not reduce the scale's maximum capacity.
  • Tare Function: When the total load on the scale is over 7 oz (200 g), pressing the [power/zero button] will reset the display to "0" and show a [tare icon] on the LCD. The scale's remaining capacity is reduced by the tared amount.

If the scale is under Tare condition (display shows "0" with [tare icon]), pressing the [power/zero button] will show the total weight of all loads.

Diagrams show the scale display changing: from a weight reading (e.g., '535 g') to '0' with a [zero icon], then to '0' with a [tare icon], and then showing a cumulative weight (e.g., '68 g', '603 g') after adding items, and finally '0' again after taring.

Auto Shut Off & Manual Shut Off

  • Auto Shut Off: The scale will automatically turn off if the display shows "0" or the same weight reading for approximately 2 minutes to conserve battery life.
  • Manual Shut Off: To maximize battery life, it is recommended to turn off the scale manually. Press and hold the [power/zero button] for 3 seconds. The scale will turn off.
Diagram shows a scale display with a "2 mins" timer icon, indicating auto shut-off after inactivity.

Batteries

  • This scale requires 2 AAA batteries, which are included.
  • Before first use, remove the isolation sheet from the battery compartment.

To Replace Batteries

  1. Open the battery case cover located underneath the scale.
  2. Take out the used batteries and install new ones, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery case cover securely.

Advice for Use & Care

  1. Always use the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface.
  2. Clean the scale with a slightly damp cloth.
  3. Avoid contact with water. DO NOT immerse the scale in water.
  4. Clean all plastic parts immediately after contact with fat, spices, vinegar, or strongly flavored/colored food. Avoid contact with acid citrus juices.
  5. DO NOT use chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
  6. This scale is designed for household use only; it is not intended for commercial use.

Low Battery & Overload Indicators

  • 1. Low battery power: The LCD will display "Lo". Please replace the batteries.
  • 2. Overload: The LCD will display "Err". Remove the item immediately to avoid damage to the scale. The maximum capacity for this scale is 11 lb / 5 kg.
Diagram shows two indicator displays: "Lo" for low battery and "Err" for overload.
