INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND CARE

BATTERIES

Requires 2 x AAA batteries (included)

TO REPLACE BATTERIES

Follow these steps to replace batteries:

Open the battery compartment located on the bottom of the scale.
Take out the used batteries (with the aid of a sharp object if needed).
Install new batteries in the compartment, making sure to observe the polarity.

LCD Display

The LCD shows:

Tare
Piece count
Negative value
Zero

Available units include: Ounce, Gram, Ozt (1 ozt=31.1g=1.097oz), Dwt (1 dwt=1.56g=0.054oz).

TO OPERATE

Place the scale on a solid, flat surface. Avoid carpet or other soft surfaces.
Press and release the ON/OFF button to switch on the unit.
Wait until the display prompts to 0.00 before starting weighing.
Always place the object to weigh in the center of the platform.

TO CHANGE THE UNIT OF WEIGHT MEASUREMENT

Press the UNIT button to toggle the weight measurement between gram, ounce, dwt, ozt, and to pre-set piece counting mode.

PIECE COUNTING MODE

This mode allows for counting multiple identical items.

Press UNIT to select piece counting mode 'PCS' when the scale is vacant. The scale is programmed with 3 different pre-set quantities: 25 pcs, 50 pcs and 100 pcs.
Press UNIT for 3 seconds to select the desired pre-set quantity value (25, 50 or 100). Rapidly pressing UNIT will cycle through the pre-sets. Once a pre-set quantity is selected (e.g., 50), place this same quantity (50 pcs) on the weighing platform, and wait for the LCD to flash '50'. The scale now recognizes this weight as the weight of 50 pcs and calculates the average single unit weight.
Next time weighing a different quantity of the same object, simply turn on the scale and place X quantity of the object onto the weighing platform. The LCD will start by showing the weight as usual. Press 'UNIT' to switch to piece counting mode 'PCS' and the LCD will display the quantity placed on the platform.

Remark: Repeat the above steps when conducting piece count calculations for different objects. For calibration accuracy, a pre-set quantity of 100 pcs is suggested. An object with a unit weight of less than 1 scale division will not be calibrated.

"ZERO" OR "TARE" FUNCTION

To weigh different loads consecutively without removing loads from the scale, put the first load on the scale to obtain a weight reading. Press the Z/T button to reset the LCD reading to "0.00" before adding the next load. This operation can be repeated. By pressing Z/T, you can see the total weight of all loads on the scale. If you want to weigh more loads, just press Z/T to reset the LCD reading to "0.00" again.

LCD BACKLIGHT

The LCD backlight will be activated when you switch on the scale. The backlight will automatically shut off after idling for 30 seconds. The backlight will light up again whenever the scale is re-activated.

AUTO SHUT OFF

Auto shut-off occurs if the display shows '0' or the same weight reading for 2 minutes.

MANUAL SHUT OFF

To maximize battery life, always press ON/OFF to turn off the scale after use.

WARNING INDICATORS

Lo: Indicates low battery power. Replace the battery.
Err: Indicates scale overload. Remove the object to avoid damage. The maximum weight capacity of the scale is 0.5kg.

TO OPEN THE COVER

Instructions for opening and closing the cover are provided visually.

CLEANING AND CARE

Clean the scale with a slightly damp cloth. DO NOT immerse the scale in water or use chemical/abrasive cleaning agents.
The scale is a high-precision device. It is delicately built and extremely sensitive. Please avoid dropping the unit or subjecting it to violent impact, which will damage it.
