Models: EFA-119, EFA-120, EFA-121, EFA-122, EFA-132
Important Information
Battery
The battery installed at the factory may discharge during delivery and storage. If you notice signs of insufficient power (e.g., dim display), replace the battery at the nearest authorized CASIO service center or CASIO distributor.
Water Resistance
For all categories of watches, it is forbidden to:
- Press buttons underwater.
- Adjust hands underwater.
- Unscrew the crown underwater.
If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it. Do not wear watches with leather straps while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.
Watches are classified by rating (from I to V) according to their water resistance. Check your watch's rating using the table below to determine its proper use.
Rating | Case Marking | Splashes, Rain & Sweat | Swimming, Washing | Scuba Diving, Snorkeling | Free Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | - | No | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200 M WATER RESISTANT / 300 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes:
- Rating I: Watches are not water-resistant. Avoid any moisture.
Explanation of Water Resistance Ratings:
- II WR (Water Resistant): Indicates water resistance according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water will not cause problems.
- III 5 Bar (50 meters): Capable of withstanding water pressure of the specified value; suitable for showering and brief swimming.
- IV 10 Bar (100 meters): Suitable for normal swimming and snorkeling.
- V 20 Bar (200 meters): Suitable for diving with scuba gear (excluding depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).
Watch Care
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover yourself.
- The rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture gets inside the watch, have it checked immediately by your dealer or a CASIO distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- Although designed for active daily use, wear the watch carefully and avoid dropping it.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. You should be able to fit a finger between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile agents (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners).
- When not in use, store your watch in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
- Some models have silk-screened graphics on the strap. Clean these straps carefully to avoid damaging the graphics.
For Watches with Resin Straps...
- You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
- Sweat or moisture on a resin strap, or storage in high humidity, can damage, tear, or crack the strap. To ensure a long service life for resin straps, wipe off dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.
For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Straps...
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with any other wet surface can cause the fluorescent color to fade. Check if moisture has been removed from the fluorescent surface and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Strong friction of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface can transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.
In conditions of rapid temperature changes, slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass. This is a normal physical phenomenon and not a defect.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur during the use of this watch and does not accept claims from third parties.

Thermometer
This watch has a built-in sensor for measuring ambient temperature.

- Temperature values are displayed in Current Time Mode.
- Measurements are possible in the range of -10.0°C to 60.0°C (or 14.0°F to 140.0°F).
- Note that your body temperature, direct sunlight, or moisture can affect ambient temperature readings, making them inaccurate. Therefore, each time you intend to measure the temperature, remove the watch, shield it from direct sunlight, and prevent moisture from getting on it.
- If you believe the temperature readings are incorrect for any reason, you can calibrate the temperature sensor in Current Time Mode. Previously saved temperature values will not change.
Analog Time Mode
If the current analog time differs from the digital time for any reason, follow these steps to set the analog time:
- In Analog Time Mode, press and hold button "A" until the current time display starts flashing.

- The backlight is difficult to see if direct sunlight falls on the watch.
- Frequent use of the backlight reduces battery life.
Auto Backlight
The Auto Backlight activates automatically whenever your hand is tilted at an angle of approximately 40 degrees from horizontal. Do not use the Auto Backlight function when light could be harmful or distracting, such as when riding a motorcycle or bicycle.
To enable the Auto Backlight function in Current Time Mode, press and hold button "D" for 3 seconds.
