Casio Watch Function User Manual
Module No. 3358, 3368, 3798
Model: EFA-113
General Precautions
Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures. Although the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and do not drop it. Do not fasten the band too tightly; you should be able to fit a finger between your wrist and the band. Use a dry, soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a water solution of mild neutral detergent to clean the watch and band. Never use volatile agents (such as gasoline, thinners, spray cleaners, etc.). Store your watch in a dry location when not in use. Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paints, etc., as chemical reactions caused by these materials will damage gaskets, case, and finish. Some watch bands have designs printed on them using silk-screening; be careful when cleaning such bands to avoid damaging the designs.
Important Information
Battery
The battery initially installed in the watch is discharged during factory testing and shipping. When you notice the display becoming faint, it is time to have the battery replaced by an authorized CASIO service center or dealer.
Water Resistance
For all types of watches: Do not press any buttons underwater; do not set the crown underwater; do not unscrew the crown underwater. If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it with a soft cloth. Do not wear a watch with a leather band while swimming, and avoid prolonged contact of leather bands with water.
For watches with resin bands: You may notice a white powdery substance on the band. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a soft cloth. Sweat or moisture on a resin band, or storage in a humid environment, can lead to damage, breakage, or cracking of the band. To ensure the longest possible life for your resin band, wipe it clean of dirt and moisture with a soft cloth whenever possible.
For watches with fluorescent cases and bands: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent coloring to fade gradually. Prolonged contact with moisture can also cause the fluorescent coloring to fade gradually. Wipe off any moisture from the watch surface as soon as possible. Prolonged contact with any other wet surface can cause the fluorescent coloring to discolor. Check that moisture has been removed from the fluorescent surface and avoid contact with other surfaces.
Notes: Rubbing a surface with fluorescent paint strongly against another surface can transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface. CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage or loss incurred by you or any third party arising from the use of this watch or its malfunction. Condensation may form on the inside of the glass due to sudden temperature changes; this is a normal physical phenomenon and not a defect.
