STORKLINTA 3-Drawer Chest

Safety Warnings

Children have died from furniture tipover. To reduce the risk of furniture tipover:

  • ⚠️ ALWAYS install anti-tip device provided.
  • NEVER put a TV on this product.
  • NEVER allow children to stand, climb, or hang on any drawers, doors, or shelves.
  • NEVER open more than one drawer at a time.
  • DO NOT defeat or remove the drawer interlock system; it is an important stability and safety system.
  • Place heaviest items in the lowest drawers.

  • Screwdrivers (Phillips and flathead)

Drill bit sizes:

  • Ø 5/16" (8 mm) [drill bit]
  • Ø 1/8" (3 mm) [drill bit]

Assembly Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Panels

Insert cam lock screws (118331) into the pre-drilled holes on the main panels. Insert wooden dowels (101345) into their corresponding holes. Insert cam locks (119252/119250) into the larger holes, ensuring the arrow points towards the entry hole of the cam lock screw.

Step 2: Attach Brackets and Drawer Guides

Attach brackets (102553) to panels using screws (105248). Place cover caps (146114) over exposed screw heads. Attach drawer front connectors (10094763, 10094727) and drawer slide guides (10093081, 10093082) to the side panels.

Step 3: Attach Handles and Drawer Fronts

Attach handles (10101849) to the drawer front panels (158568) using screws.

Step 4: Attach Drawer Slides to Side Panels

Mount the drawer slides (10102026) onto the side panels using cam locks (120076) and screws (118331). Ensure correct orientation.

Step 5: Connect Main Frame Components

Connect the side panels to the base panel using the pre-inserted cam lock screws and cam locks. Secure with cover caps (146114).

Step 6: Attach Horizontal Support

Insert dowels (101345) into the horizontal support panel and attach it to the frame.

Step 7: Attach Vertical Panels

Attach the vertical side panels to the base and horizontal support using cam locks (119252/119250) and cam lock screws.

Step 8: Secure Vertical Panels

Continue securing the vertical panels using cam locks (119252/119250) and cam lock screws.

Step 9: Attach Crossbars

Attach the crossbars to the frame using brackets (102553) and screws (105248).

Step 10: Attach Additional Crossbars

Attach the remaining crossbars using screws (105248).

Step 11: Attach Drawer Fronts to Drawer Boxes

Assemble the drawer boxes by connecting the sides and bottom. Attach the drawer front panels (158568) to the drawer boxes using drawer front connectors (10094763, 10094727) and cam lock screws.

Step 12: Attach Drawer Bottom Support

Insert dowels (101345) to attach the drawer bottom support.

Step 13: Attach Top Panel

Attach the top panel to the main frame using cam lock screws (118331).

Step 14: Insert Back Panel

Slide the back panel into the grooves of the main frame.

Step 15: Secure Back Panel

Secure the back panel using cam locks (119252/119250) and cam lock screws.

Step 16: Attach Drawer Runners to Main Unit

Attach the drawer runner brackets (10040242) to the main unit frame using screws (145718).

  • Parts: 10040242 (1x), 145718 (6x)

Step 17: Assemble Drawer Boxes (Continued)

Assemble the drawer boxes by connecting the sides and bottom. Insert dowels (101345) and use cam lock screws (118331).

Step 18: Secure Drawer Boxes

Secure the drawer boxes using cam locks (120076).

Step 19: Attach Drawer Back Panel

Attach the drawer back panel.

Step 20: Attach Drawer Runners to Drawer Boxes

Attach drawer slide guides (10093081, 10093082) to the assembled drawer boxes.

Step 21: Attach Drawer Fronts

Attach the drawer front panels (158568) to the drawer boxes using handles (10101849).

Step 22: Attach Anti-Tip Device to Furniture

Attach the anti-tip device bracket (10102070) to the furniture using screw (109572).

  • Parts: 10102070 (1x), 109572 (1x)

Step 23: Secure Anti-Tip Device to Wall

Mark the wall, drill holes, and insert wall plugs (10087223). Attach the anti-tip device bracket to the wall using screws (109572) and plate connectors (100823).

Step 24: Connect Anti-Tip Device

Connect the anti-tip device strap to the furniture bracket.

Step 25: Secure Anti-Tip Device Strap

Secure the anti-tip device strap to the wall bracket using screw (109572) and plate connector (100823).

Step 26: Wall Mounting Advice

The screws and plugs supplied can be used with most solid (A) and hollow (B) walls. For solid wood (C), use the screws without plugs. If you are uncertain, seek professional advice. Visit www.IKEA.com/secure-it for more information.

Step 27: Final Anti-Tip Device Attachment

Attach the anti-tip device bracket (10102070) to the furniture using screw (109572).

Step 28: Secure Anti-Tip Device to Wall

Secure the anti-tip device to the wall using screws (109572) and plate connectors (100823).

Step 29: Final Drawer Assembly

Insert the assembled drawers into the chest. Ensure they slide smoothly.

Step 30: Drawer Assembly (Alternative Method)

Assemble drawer boxes using cam lock screws (118331) and dowels (101345).

Step 31: Secure Drawer Boxes

Secure the drawer boxes using cam locks (120076).

Step 32: Attach Drawer Back Panel

Attach the drawer back panel.

Attach drawer runner brackets (10040242) to the drawer boxes.

Attach the drawer top panel.

Step 35: Attach Drawer Fronts to Drawer Sides

Attach drawer front panels to the drawer sides using screws (145718) and cam locks (120076).

Step 36: Attach Drawer Slides to Main Unit

Attach the drawer slides to the main unit frame using screws (146114).

Step 37: Insert Drawers

Carefully insert the assembled drawers into the chest. Do not overload drawers. Place heaviest items in the lowest drawers.

Step 38: Final Check and Anti-Tip Device

Ensure all connections are secure. Follow the anti-tip device installation instructions (Steps 22-25) to secure the chest to the wall to prevent tipover accidents.
