Connectivity and Communication Modes
The Secop Gateway 105N9518 provides flexible connectivity options for integration with different compressor types.
Available Ports and Pins:
- USB ? (Type A/C) for connecting to a PC.
- Communication (Comm.) port for connecting to compressor controllers.
- Pin 1: U+* / D/I C
- Pin 2: UBAT LIN C
- USB-C ? port
Communication Modes:
The gateway supports two primary communication modes, selectable via the U+ / UBAT pin configuration:
- Secop Transistor Interface Mode: Utilizes pins labeled I, D/I, or COM.
- Full LIN Interface Mode: Utilizes the LIN pin. This mode is activated when the U+ / UBAT pin is connected to a battery.
Connection Guidelines:
For BD-Series Compressors:
- The U+ / UBAT pin should only be connected if the BD controller is equipped with LIN communication.
- If the BD controller has a communication line labeled I, D/I, or COM, the U+ / UBAT pin must not be connected.
- ⚠️ Important Note: Do not connect the U+ / UBAT pin when using the D/I interface on BD-Products.
A section on the device is marked "Reserved for future BD-Products".
Diagrammatic Representation of Connections:
General Setup: The Secop Gateway connects to a PC via a USB cable (approx. 1500 mm). It also connects to compressor controllers (BD, DLV, NLV, SLVE series) via a communication cable (approx. 1500-1800 mm).
Secop BD-Series Compressor Connection: Illustrates the Gateway connected to a PC via USB. The Gateway's communication port is linked to a BD-Series compressor controller. Key pins are labeled: U+*, D/I C, UBAT LIN C, and USB-C. A specific warning is present: "Don't connect when using D/I on BD-Products".
Secop DLV, NLV, SLVE Compressor Connection: Similar to the BD-Series connection, this diagram shows the Gateway linked to a PC via USB and to a DLV, NLV, or SLVE compressor controller via the communication port. The same pin labels and connection warnings apply.
