Welcome to the InSinkErator Instant Hot Water Dispenser. This appliance is designed to save time and effort in your kitchen, offering the convenience of instant hot water.
What You Should Know Before You Begin
For your satisfaction and safety, read all instructions, cautions, and warnings before installing or using this instant hot water dispenser.
- This unit is not intended for commercial use.
- Ensure all electrical wiring and connections conform to local codes.
- A standard 115-volt grounded electrical outlet is required under the sink for power.
- The wall outlet must have continuous power and be fused. It should not be controlled by the same wall switch as the disposer, unless using an InSinkErator SinkTop Switch™.
- A dedicated control valve on the cold water line is recommended.
- If you suspect elevated chlorine levels or rusty water before installation, use a water filtration system.
- The manufacturer cannot guarantee against rusty water due to external factors. Sudden rusty water may indicate a need for service.
- Water filter use should not reduce pressure below 30 psi (207kPa).
- Moving parts inside the tank may cause a rattling noise, which is normal.

Equipment You May Need:
- Anchors for drywall
- Hole saw
- Basin wrench
- Hole punch
If using the sink sprayer hole, a basin wrench and a 1/8" plug or 1/4" cap may be needed for the faucet spray hose line (See Step 1B).
For cutting a mounting hole in stainless steel sinks, a 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" hole saw or a hole punch may be needed. Consult a professional for drilling into surfaces other than stainless steel.

Installing the Faucet
Follow the specific instructions for your faucet model (1100/2200/2215 or 3300) as detailed in the manual.
General Steps Include:
- Unpacking components.
- Straightening copper tubing on a firm, flat surface.
- Ensuring O-rings are properly seated.
- Feeding tubes through the sink or countertop hole.
- Using the semi-circular mounting plate and hex nut to secure the faucet.
Important Notes:
- NOTICE: Do not pinch or break copper tubing. Do not distort the last 1 inch of tubing.
- An assistant may be needed to hold the dispenser head in place.

Mounting the Tank
Select a spot under the sink within reach of plumbing and electrical connections. Ensure the tank is mounted level for proper operation.
- Tank placement: within 16" of faucet and 30" of a standard grounded outlet.
- Use provided screws for wood studs/cabinets; use wall anchors (not supplied) for drywall.
- Mount tank vertically, ensuring clearance for drainage.
NOTICE: Do not over-tighten screws.
Connecting Faucet to Tank
Follow the steps to connect the tubes from the faucet to the tank using the provided fittings (snap-connect, flexible white tube, clear tube).
NOTICE: Ensure tubes are properly connected and not pinched or crimped.
Installing the Filtration System
If using the filtration system, follow these steps:
- Mount the filter head and bracket.
- Determine tubing length and cut cleanly.
- Insert white 1/4" tubes into the filter head inlet and outlet.
- Connect copper tubes to the Y-quick-connector.
- Connect the white 1/4" tube from the filter head to the tank.
- Connect the remaining white 1/4" tube to the incoming water supply line.
WARNING: Do not locate the filter above an electrical outlet or device.
NOTICE: Ensure tube runs have clean, perpendicular, burr-free cuts.
Final Water Connection
Connect the system to the cold water supply line:
- Install a T-fitting onto the cold water supply line.
- Install a dedicated water control valve with a 1/4" compression fitting.
- Connect the white 1/4" tube from the filter to the compression fitting.
- Turn on the water supply and open the hot water faucet to expel trapped air.
- Flush the filter: 2.25 gallons for F-1000/F-1000S (approx. 3 min), 3 gallons for F-2000/F-2000S (approx. 4 min).
Operating Instructions for Indulge™ Modern Faucets:
Features OptiPush™ hot side activation with automatic shut-off.
- HC3300: To dispense hot water, press down and push handle backward (red indicator). To dispense cool water, press down and pull handle forward (blue indicator).
- H3300: Similar operation for hot water.
After installation:
- Check all connections for leaks.
- Plug in the hot water tank. Water will be cold initially.
- Allow 12-15 minutes for water to reach target temperature. Gurgling or hissing is normal during initial heating.
Refer to the "Troubleshooting" section if water is not hot after 15 minutes.
Important Safety Information
Always use the water heater for its intended purpose. Supervise children. Do not operate if damaged. Keep small parts away from children.
WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Do not immerse product in water. Unplug immediately if it falls into water.
WARNING: Personal Injury/Property Damage. Avoid drilling into existing electrical wiring or water pipes.
WARNING: Electric Shock Hazard. Ensure proper grounding. Use a properly earthed and polarized outlet.
CAUTION: Tank is non-pressurized. Do not modify the system. Use only InSinkErator supplied parts.
WARNING: Do not use with microbiologically unsafe water.
The tap has a limited life; inspect regularly for leaks and corrosion. Use a drain pan where leakage could cause property damage.
WARNING: Fire Hazard. Keep flammable items away from the tank.
WARNING: Leak Hazard. Inspect fittings regularly.
System Requirements and Safety Precautions
- Connect flexible tubes correctly; do not obstruct.
- Attach to cold water supply only; maximum operating temperature 100°F (37.8°C).
- Do not install if water pressure exceeds 125 psi (862 kPa). Install a pressure limiting valve if pressure exceeds 80 psi (552 kPa).
- Install a water hammer arrester if water hammer conditions exist.
- Install thermal expansion control device if backflow prevention is installed.
- Protect from freezing: shut off water, remove filter, drain tank and tubing when temperatures drop below 40°F (4.4°C).
- Do not use torches or high-temperature sources near the system.
- Mount system to prevent it from being struck by other items.
- Ensure location and fasteners support the weight of the installed system.
- Ensure all tubing and fittings are secure and leak-free.
- Use plastic water lines (PEX, PE, PP); do not use rigid piping.
- Check for missing quick connect collets.
- For two-handle HC models, operate only one handle at a time.
- Do not allow the unit to continuously boil.
- Inspect regularly for leaks; turn off water supply and contact an authorized agent if leaks are found.
- Use a drain pan where leakage could cause property damage.
Filtration System Considerations:
- Replace disposable filter cartridge every 6 months or sooner if flow rate decreases.
- Failure to replace may lead to reduced performance and leaks.
- Protect from freezing.
- Do not install in areas above 100°F (37.8°C) or in direct sunlight/outdoors.
Care and Use
Adjusting the Thermostat:
The factory temperature is pre-set. To adjust, turn the dial clockwise to increase or counter-clockwise to decrease temperature. Make minimal changes and repeat if necessary. WARNING: Do not allow water to boil.
Seasonal Storage/Drainage:
If the tap is not used for extended periods or if freezing is expected:
- Disconnect power (unplug).
- Run hot water until cool.
- Shut off cold water supply.
- Disconnect tubes from tank.
- Unhook tank.
- Hold tank upside down to drain water into sink.
- Towel dry.
- Reinstall tank and reconnect tubes.
- Remove and discard filter cartridge.
- To return to service, install new filter, turn on cold water, depress lever until water flows, reconnect power.
Cleaning the Tap and Tank:
Use only mild cleaners. Avoid cleaners with acids, abrasives, alkaline, or organic solvents, as they can damage plastic components and void the warranty.
Filter Guide and Replacement:
Replace the filter when water flow decreases or taste/odor is objectionable.
- Place a pan or towel under the filter.
- Turn cartridge counter-clockwise 1/4 turn to remove.
- Pull cartridge straight down.
- Insert new cartridge, ensuring it sits flush.
- Turn cartridge clockwise 1/4 turn to secure.
- Open tap to expel air.
- Run water for 3 minutes before use.
CAUTION: Personal Injury. Regularly check for corrosion. If discoloration occurs, unplug and drain the unit. If it persists, discontinue use and contact an authorized service agent.
Filtration Information
The InSinkErator filtration system offers two levels of filtration (F-1000S and F-2000S) to reduce particulates, chlorine taste and odor, and other contaminants.

Troubleshooting

This warranty is provided by InSinkErator to the original consumer owner and subsequent owners of the residence. The warranty period begins on the date of installation, purchase, or manufacture.
What is Covered:
Defects in materials or workmanship for consumer residential use, including parts and labor.
What is Not Covered:
Excludes losses due to accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, improper installation, normal wear and tear (cosmetic rust, scratches, dents), commercial/industrial use.
Manufacturer's Obligation:
InSinkErator will, through an authorized service representative, repair or replace the product at no cost to the customer. Replacement products are warranted for the unexpired term of the original warranty.
Limitation of Liability:
Manufacturer is not liable for incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages. Liability is limited to the price paid by the original owner. Some states may not allow these limitations.
