What You Should Know Before You Begin
For your satisfaction and safety, read all instructions, cautions, and warnings before installing or using this instant hot water dispenser.
- This unit is not intended for commercial use.
- Ensure all electrical wiring and connections conform to local codes.
- A standard 115-volt grounded electrical outlet is required under the sink for the dispenser's electrical power.
- The wall outlet must have continuous power and be fused. It should not be controlled by the same wall switch as a disposer, unless using an InSinkErator SinkTop Switch™.
- It is recommended that a dedicated control valve be installed on the cold water line.
- If you suspect elevated chlorine levels or rusty water, use an InSinkErator water filtration system.
- This product contains stainless steel. While the manufacturer cannot guarantee against rusty water due to external factors, sudden rusty water may indicate a need for service or replacement.
- Using a water filter should NOT cause water pressure to drop below 30 psi (207kPa), as this will prevent proper operation.
- Moving parts inside the tank causing a rattling noise is normal.

Installing the Faucet (Models 1100/2200/2215)
- Preparation: Unpack dispenser components. Identify locations for faucet, tank, and filter. Ensure proper handle clearance and counter thickness (max 3"). Verify a grounded electrical outlet is accessible.
- Drilling/Mounting Hole: If drilling is required, turn off water supply. If using the sprayer hole, remove the sprayer hose connection and plug the opening. Determine the required hole size for your model (e.g., 1 3/8" - 1 1/2"). Consult a professional for non-stainless steel surfaces.
- Faucet Installation: On a firm surface, straighten copper tubing. Ensure the black O-ring is seated correctly on the dispenser head. Feed tubes through the sink/countertop hole. Secure the faucet from underneath using the semi-circular mounting plate and hex nut, tightening with the hex tool.
Installing the Faucet (Model 3300)
- Preparation: Unpack dispenser components. The recommended handle placement is on the right, but it can be functional on either side.
- Faucet Installation: Insert the rubber O-ring into the brass seat. Place the brass seat (O-ring side down) over the hole. Wetting the O-ring aids installation. Feed tubes through the hole until the base touches the brass seat. Rotate the brass seat to align retaining studs with faucet base holes. Secure from underneath with the semi-circular mounting plate and hex nut, using the hex tool.
Mounting the Tank
- Location: Select a spot under the sink within 16" of the faucet and 30" of a grounded outlet. The tank must be mounted level.
- Marking: Hold the tank in place and mark locations for 2 hanging screws.
- Mounting: Use provided screws for wood studs/cabinets, or wall anchors (not supplied) for drywall. Pre-drill 1/8" pilot holes. Turn screws in, leaving 1/4" exposed. Hang the tank on the screws and tighten gently (1/2 turn clockwise). Ensure clearance for drainage.
Connecting Faucet to Tank
- Connect the blue tube's snap-connect fitting to the tank's left fitting until it clicks.
- Connect the white 7/16" tube to the barbed steel fitting.
- Connect the clear 5/16" tube to the smooth plastic fitting.
- Ensure tubes are pushed down securely and are not pinched or crimped. Hose clamps are not needed.
Installing the Filtration System
- Filter Head Mounting: Mark locations for the filter head and bracket. Drill pilot holes and attach the bracket with screws. Insert the cartridge into the filter head.
- Tubing Connections: Determine tubing length and cut cleanly. Connect the white 1/4" tube to the filter head's inlet and outlet. Connect the dispenser's copper tubes to the Y-quick-connector (use plug for hot-only models). Connect the white 1/4" tube from the filter head's right outlet to the Y-quick-connector. Ensure secure fits by pressing until they click. To remove, depress the release ring.
Final Water Connection
- Install a T-fitting and a dedicated water control valve onto the cold water supply line.
- Connect the white 1/4" tube from the filter (or quick-connector) using a brass nut, ferrule, and tube insert. Insert into the 1/4" compression fitting and tighten.
- Connect the remaining white 1/4" tube to the incoming water supply line.
- Turn on the water supply. Open the hot water faucet to expel trapped air.
- For F-1000S/F-1000 filters, flush 2.25 gallons (approx. 3 minutes). For F-2000S/F-2000, flush 3 gallons (approx. 4 minutes).
- Plug in the hot water tank. Water will be cold initially. Allow 12-15 minutes for water to reach target temperature. Gurgling or hissing during the initial heating cycle is normal.
