First-Time Bluetooth Pairing
Step 1: Enable Bluetooth on your device.
Step 2: Turn off the Studio ANC headphones. Press and hold the power button for 8 seconds.
Step 3: Select "JLab Studio ANC" in your device settings to connect.
A rapidly flashing red and blue light indicates the device is searching for a Bluetooth connection.
Adding New / Additional Bluetooth Devices
Disconnect Bluetooth from any previously connected device. Enable Bluetooth on the new device. Repeat the steps in the "First-Time Bluetooth Pairing" section.
Notes:
- Bluetooth is a wireless radio technology and is sensitive to objects between the headphones and the connected device. The headphones are designed for use within 10 meters (33 feet) of the connected device, provided there are no large objects (like walls) in between.
- After a successful connection, the headphones will remember your device and automatically pair when powered on in the future. Only one device can be connected at a time. To connect another device, disconnect the current device in Bluetooth settings.
- If the Bluetooth connection is lost for any reason, manually reconnect to the Bluetooth device.
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
ANC Activation
Press and hold the ANC button for 2 seconds to turn ANC on or off.
- ON: 2 beeps.
- OFF: 1 beep.
ANC function can work when connected via AUX input.
Charging
Charging Instructions
For optimal performance, charge the headphones overnight using the included Micro USB cable before use. Allow 3 hours for a full charge.
Connect the included Micro USB cable to the headphones and to a computer or AC adapter (not included). Ensure the USB connection has a power source.
- Red indicator light means charging.
- Blue indicator light means the battery is fully charged.
Note: You can use the Studio headphones during charging. Power on and connect to your device after charging begins.
AUX Connection
Connecting to In-Flight Entertainment or Battery-Free Devices
Connect the AUX cable to the headphones and an audio source (e.g., airplane entertainment system or a device without battery power).
Notes:
- The AUX input will disable your Bluetooth connection. Disconnect to return to Bluetooth.
- Button functions for Bluetooth will not work when the AUX input is connected.
- Volume will depend on your AUX device settings. Adjust accordingly.
Important Notes & Care
- Avoid moisture or liquids on the headphones.
- Avoid extreme heat, cold, and humidity.
- Avoid dropping or crushing the headphones, pulling the cable forcefully, or bending the cable sharply against a surface.
- Earwax buildup may occur on the ear tips, potentially reducing sound quality. Gently clean earwax with a dry cotton swab or small brush to improve sound quality.
- If you experience discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or temporarily discontinue use.
- If discomfort persists during use, stop using the product and consult a physician.
- We recommend treating your headphones with the same care as expensive sunglasses and storing them safely when not in use.
