Lamp Assembly

Important Safety Note: Ensure the lamp is unplugged before beginning assembly.

1. Remove the lamp from its packaging. Place the base (A) on a flat, stable surface.
2. Follow the "Tube Insertion/Replacement" instructions to install the light tube.
3. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V electrical outlet.
4. To turn the lamp on or off, press the pushbutton switch (D).
5. Adjust the lamp head by flexing the neck (E) to position the shade as desired.

Note: While the lamp's neck is flexible, it is not designed for extreme movements. To prevent breakage, do not force or bend the shade more than a few inches beyond the illustrated position.

Tube Insertion/Replacement

1. Ensure the lamp is not plugged into an electrical socket.
2. If the lamp was recently used, allow it to cool for approximately 5 minutes before proceeding.
3. Stand the lamp upright on a flat, stable surface.
4. To install a tube (B) into the shade socket (C): Grasp the tube securely. Align the tube base and pins with the socket and receptacles. Push the tube straight into the socket until it "snaps" into place. Do not apply pressure to the glass end of the tube.
5. To remove an installed tube (B): Grasp the tube firmly. Angle it slightly out of the shade socket. Using a gentle side-to-side motion, pull it straight out of the socket. Do not twist or turn the tube while removing it.

Important: OttLite tubes are not dimmable.

This lighting system is designed for use with OttLite® type tubes, specifically style number PL13-E. Using other products will void the warranty and may damage the lighting system.

WARNING: This portable lamp features a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug will only fit into a polarized outlet one way. If the plug does not fit fully, reverse it. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. Do not alter the plug.

If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it must be replaced exclusively by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard. For indoor use only.

To prevent electric shock, match the wide blade of the plug to the wide slot and insert fully.
