Assembly Steps
Step 1: Connecting Side Panels
Take two side panels. Insert the connector (121030) into the designated holes. Secure the panels together using two long screws (104321/104322) with the Allen key (100092).
Step 2: Inserting Dowels into Side Panels
Insert 2x dowels (101339) into the holes on the edge of each side panel. Gently tap with a hammer if needed.
Step 3: Adding First Shelf
Insert dowels (101339) into the holes of the middle shelf panel. Slide the shelf into place between the side panels.
Step 4: Adding Second Shelf
Insert dowels (101339) into the holes of the next shelf panel. Slide it into place.
Step 5: Adding Third Shelf
Insert dowels (101339) into the holes of the final shelf panel. Slide it into place.
Step 6: Attaching Top Panel
Insert 4x dowels (101339) into the top panel. Position the top panel onto the assembled frame and secure it.
Step 7: Attaching Bottom Panel
Insert dowels (101339) into the bottom panel. Position the bottom panel onto the assembled frame and secure it using 6x long screws (104321/104322).
Step 8: Connecting Units (Optional)
If connecting multiple KALLAX units, attach the Hexagonal Panel Set (10002300/10050334) to the top of the unit using 4x screws. This set is used to link units together.
Step 9: Preparing for Wall Mounting
Attach the Mounting Plates (115753) to the back of the unit using 2x short screws (100372) for each plate. Ensure they are positioned correctly as shown in the diagrams.
Step 10: Attaching Wall Brackets
Attach the Wall Bracket Components (103693) and Bracket Parts (115754, etc.) to the Mounting Plates on the unit. These components form the connection to the wall.
Step 11: Final Wall Attachment
Position the assembled unit against the wall. Use appropriate wall fixings (not included) to secure the unit to the wall through the attached brackets. Ensure the unit is stable and level using a spirit level.
