Safety and Usage
Seatback Positioning
The seat reclines using a strap and buckle assembly behind the seat. Loosen the strap to recline, adjust to desired position. To move to upright position, push seat back up while pulling the strap. The strap locks automatically.
The upright position is for children 6 months and older. Always readjust the safety harness when repositioning the seatback.
Jogging with Your Stroller
When jogging:
- LOCK THE FRONT SWIVEL WHEEL IN STRAIGHT POSITION.
- SAFETY WRIST STRAP: Always connect the safety strap to your wrist. This prevents the stroller from rolling away if you trip. Ensure the strap is always connected to the frame.
Brakes
To engage brakes, apply light downward pressure to the rear wheel brake levers. You may need to slightly move the stroller forward or backward to align brake teeth with wheel clusters. Check that the stroller does not move and brakes are applied. To release, gently lift the brake lever.
Front Wheel Locking Device
The stroller has a front wheel locking device. Use the remote release lever (under the right side handle) to disengage the wheel and push to engage the locking device (under the footrest). This locks the front wheel in a straight position.
Harness and Child Security
WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.
STRANGULATION HAZARD: Child can strangle in loose straps. Never leave child in seat when straps are loose or undone.
- Place child in stroller seat. Bring safety harness around waist and over shoulders.
- Place crotch strap between child's legs.
- Insert male ends of shoulder/waist belts into the crotch strap buckle.
- Tighten harness to be snug around child's waist and over shoulders.
- To release harness, apply pressure to both sides of each male clip until released. This requires moderate effort to prevent accidental release by the child.
Tires
Tires are shipped un-inflated. Inflate to 20-25 p.s.i. using a bicycle-style hand pump.
Tire Pump (if equipped): Follow instructions to assemble and use the pump. Ensure tire pressure is 20 p.s.i.
CAUTION: Care must be taken when folding and unfolding the stroller to prevent finger entrapment.
Folding and Unfolding
- To Fold: Close canopy, recline seat. Simultaneously pull each trigger fold. Release fold buttons and press downward on the stroller handle until completely folded. Secure with the fold latch.
- To Unfold: Stand stroller on ground with all three wheels touching. Release the folding latch on the right side. Lift stroller handle with both hands until frame is erected and locked. Test latches are fully engaged.
Maintenance
Wheel Adjustment
Strollers can deviate from a straight line due to various factors (tire pressure, installation, road conditions). If your stroller pulls significantly left or right on flat terrain, follow the front wheel realignment instructions on page 9.
Flat Tire
Jogging stroller tires are bicycle tires and can go flat. Use a standard bicycle tire repair kit or take to a bicycle shop. Consider thorn-proof inner tubes for frequent flats. Purchase the correct size as indicated on the tire sidewall.
