IKEA PAX Wardrobe Frame Assembly Guide
Important Safety and Installation Information
Important! This furniture must be fixed to the wall with the enclosed wall fastener. Different wall materials require different types of fixing devices. Use fixing devices suitable for the walls in your home (not included). If you are uncertain about what type of screw or fitting to use, please contact your hardware store.
For horizontal assembly and subsequent raising of the wardrobe, ensure the ceiling height exceeds 244 cm (95 2/3"). Horizontal assembly is described on page 16.

Assembly Steps
Step 1: Prepare Side Panels
Insert 12x cam lock screws (112996 ?) into the pre-drilled holes on the two side panels (115345).
Step 2: Prepare Base and Top Panels
Insert 12x cam locks (105248 ⚙️) into the corresponding holes on the base and top panels.
Step 3: Insert Dowels
Insert 16x dowels (101375 ?) into the designated holes on the side panels.
Step 4: Attach Back Panel Support to Base
Attach the back panel support (110618 ?) to the base panel using 2x screws (101206 ?).
Step 5: Prepare Shelves
Insert 4x cam lock screws (101375 ?) into the shelves. Note: Part 101375 is also used as a dowel.
Step 6: Insert Cam Locks into Shelves
Insert 3x cam locks (113434 ⚙️) into the shelves.
Step 7: Connect Shelves to Side Panel
Connect the shelves to one of the side panels by aligning the dowels and cam lock screws with the corresponding holes. Insert and tighten the cam locks (105248 ⚙️) in the side panel to secure the shelves.
Step 8: Attach Second Side Panel
Attach the second side panel to the other end of the shelves, aligning dowels and cam locks. Insert and tighten the cam locks (105248 ⚙️) in the side panel.
Step 9: Attach Top Panel
Place the top panel onto the assembled sides and shelves. Secure it by inserting and tightening the cam locks (110617 ⚙️) in the top panel.
Step 10: Attach Top Back Panel Support
Attach the back panel support (113434 ?) to the top panel using 2x screws (101206 ?).
Step 11: Attach Back Panel
Slide the back panel into the grooves on the side, top, and base panels. Secure it using 2x cam locks (110617 ⚙️) on the top and bottom edges of the back panel.
Step 12: Secure Back Panel with Brackets
Use 1x corner bracket (105494) to secure the back panel to the frame, using screws (101206 ?).
Step 13: Secure Back Panel with More Brackets
Use another 1x corner bracket (105494) on the opposite side to further secure the back panel.
Step 14: Attach Base Panel
Attach the base panel to the bottom of the frame using 37x screws (105494 ?).
Step 15: Attach Hinges to Frame
Attach the hinge mounting plates to the inside of the wardrobe frame using the provided screws.
Step 16: Attach Hinges to Doors
Attach the hinge arms to the wardrobe doors.
Step 17: Mount Doors
Carefully mount the doors onto the wardrobe frame by connecting the hinge arms to the mounting plates.
Step 18: Adjust Doors
Adjust the doors using the hinge adjustment screws to ensure they are level, aligned, and close properly.
Final Wall Fastening
Crucial Safety Step: To prevent tipping, the wardrobe MUST be secured to the wall using the provided wall fastening kit. This involves attaching wall brackets (103693) to the unit and then to the wall. Ensure you use screws and fixings appropriate for your specific wall type (these are not included). Drill holes of approximately 5 mm (1/4") as indicated.
