Bi-Amplification - The Path to Absolute Signal Integrity
The KXD12 delivers 600 ultra-clean Watts of digital output through separately-powered drivers via a true bi-amping mode with 2 amplifiers per speaker. This design provides high-resolution sound that enhances musical detail. Unlike passive crossovers used by many competitors, which can inaccurately separate the frequency spectrum and impact driver performance, Behringer drives each woofer and tweeter with a separate amplifier for absolute signal integrity.
[Diagram Description: A block diagram illustrates the bi-amplification process, showing an Input signal routed through an Electronic Crossover, which then splits the signal to two separate Power Amplifiers. One power amplifier drives the Woofer, and the other drives the Tweeter, both connected to a Bi-Amped Speaker.]
Class-D - Massive Power, Perfect Sound
Thanks to revolutionary Class-D amplifier technology, the KXD12 offers enormous power and incredible sonic performance in an easy-to-use, ultra-portable, and lightweight package. Class-D amplification provides ultimate energy efficiency, eliminating the need for heavy power supplies and massive heat sinks. This technology allows for the design and build of extremely powerful products that are significantly lighter than traditional counterparts, while using less energy and protecting the environment.

FBQ - Master of Tone & Totally Feedback-Free
The KXD12 features a proprietary 7-band FBQ-equipped graphic equalizer, an ultimate tool for quickly and easily EQ'ing keyboards and vocals. It covers the entire audio spectrum from below 63 Hz to above 16 kHz, with each band offering a healthy 12 dB boost or cut for sound sculpting. Special attention is given to critical midrange frequencies. When the FBQ switch is engaged, users can visually identify which frequency bands are contributing most to the output signal, allowing for confident EQ adjustments.
Furthermore, the integrated FBQ Feedback Detection System helps eliminate feedback. This ultra-fast system recognizes and tames feedback frequencies immediately. When feedback is detected in a specific frequency range, an LED on the associated EQ fader illuminates, indicating which fader to lower to resolve the issue.

Channel Your Sound
The KXD12 offers 4 independent stereo channels, each with separate Volume and FX Send controls. Channel 1 includes an additional XLR mic input for direct connection of dynamic microphones, making it suitable for keyboardists or drummers managing multiple instruments or for keys and vocal applications.
The Master Section provides controls for FX Return, Master Volume, and Phones. A stereo Aux Input allows playback of recorded music during breaks or for practice. A separate headphone output is available for quiet practice. A balanced stereo XLR DI output with Ground Lift facilitates direct recording or connection to an existing PA system.
The Link Output enables the connection of a second KXD12 via a single mic cable, creating a versatile 1200-Watt portable stereo PA system.
