Hook-Up and Setup
Follow these steps for connecting and setting up your EUROPORT system:
- Connect the included speaker cables to the speakers and the SPEAKER OUTPUTS on the mixer.
- Make all necessary audio connections to the mixer. Power down all external devices before connecting.
- Set all channel controls (TREBLE, BASS, PAN) to the center position, and FX and LEVEL controls fully counter-clockwise.
- Center the GRAPHIC EQ faders.
- Set the MAIN LEVEL CONTROL knobs to their lowest position.
- Power up all external devices.
- Power on the PPA2000BT/PPA500BT by pressing the AC/POWER button.
- If using Behringer wireless microphones, connect the wireless dongle to the DIGITAL WIRELESS USB input. The DIGITAL WIRELESS LEDs will illuminate when the microphones are active.
- Adjust the relative levels of microphones and instruments by rotating each channel's LEVEL knob.
- If a channel's CLIP LED lights up, press the PAD button. If the PAD button is already engaged, turn the LEVEL knob down. Always use the PAD button with line-level inputs.
- Adjust the left-right position of each channel in the stereo field using the PAN knob.
- Slowly turn the MAIN LEVEL CONTROL knobs up to approximately one-third of their maximum setting.
- Make final volume adjustments using the MAIN LEVEL CONTROL knobs.
Recommended Speaker Placement: Position speakers for optimal sound coverage, considering direct and angled placements. Avoid placing speakers in a manner that could cause feedback.
Controls Overview
Familiarize yourself with the various controls on the mixer:
- FX Knob: Controls the amount of signal sent to the DIGITAL EFFECTS PROCESSOR.
- EQ KNOBS (TREBLE, BASS): Boost or cut low and high frequencies by 15 dB on individual channels.
- PROGRAM [PUSH] Knob: Scrolls through and selects effects patches.
- FX [LEVEL] Knob: Controls the overall amount of effects added to the main mix.
- PAN Knob: Positions each channel in the stereo field.
- LEVEL Knob: Adjusts the volume of individual channels in the overall mix.
- CLIP LED: Indicates when the input signal overloads the channel.
- GRAPHIC EQ: Adjusts specific frequencies in the sound spectrum. The EQ button activates this feature.
- FBQ Button: Activates the FBQ Feedback Detection system. The EQ IN button must also be activated for this feature to work.
- MAIN LEVEL CONTROL: Adjusts the overall volume of the main mix.
- MODE Switch: Selects stereo or mono operation.
- LINE IN Jacks: Connect instruments, CD players, or other line-level sources.
- PAD Function: Reduces the channel input signal by 20 dB.
- STEREO CHANNELS: Accept left and right signals from a single source via RCA or 1/4" TS plugs.
- DIGITAL WIRELESS USB Input: Accepts the optional BEHRINGER wireless microphone receiver.
- MIC INPUT Jacks: Accept dynamic or condenser microphones using XLR cables.
- PHANTOM Button: Provides 48V phantom power to the MIC inputs for condenser microphones.

Adding Effects
- Set the FX [LEVEL] knob on the MULTI-FX PROCESSOR to approximately 75%.
- Scroll through available effects by turning the PROGRAM [PUSH] knob.
- Press the PROGRAM [PUSH] knob to select the desired effect.
- While performing, turn the channel FX knob clockwise to the desired level for each channel to which you wish to add effects.
- Adjust the FX [LEVEL] knob on the MULTI-FX PROCESSOR left or right from the initial 75% setting to achieve your desired overall effects level.
Feedback Detection
Feedback is an undesirable high-pitched sound caused by sound waves looping between speakers and microphones.
- If feedback occurs, press the EQ and FBQ buttons.
- An LED will light on the EQ slider corresponding to the specific sound frequency causing the feedback.
- Lower the lit EQ slider until the feedback stops.
Connecting with Bluetooth® Wireless Technology
- Press and hold the BLUETOOTH PAIRING BUTTON until the LED flashes quickly.
- Activate Bluetooth® wireless technology on your device (phone, MP3 player, etc.).
- Enter the PIN code: 0000 (if required by your device).
- When the LED lights solid, you can begin playing music from your Bluetooth® device.
