Brakes

⚠️ WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed so that it will not roll away. NEVER leave the stroller unattended on a hill or incline, as it may slide down.

  1. To engage brakes, apply downward pressure to the brake levers located on the rear axle. You may need to roll the stroller back and forth to fully engage the brake (refer to diagram showing brake engagement). NOTE: Check that the stroller will not move once the brakes are properly applied.
  2. To release the brakes, gently lift up on the brake levers.

Securing the Child

⚠️ WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: A child can strangle in loose straps. Never leave a child in the seat when straps are loose or undone.

  1. The shoulder straps of the 5-point harness have 3 attachment positions. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below, the top of the child's shoulders (refer to diagram showing harness positions).
  2. To adjust harness height, unhook the shoulder strap from the crotch buckle. Feed the shoulder strap through the harness spread slots (located on the rear of the seat underneath the fabric). Feed the shoulder strap through the appropriate slot and reattach it to the crotch buckle.
  3. Carefully place the child in the stroller seat and bring the safety harness around the child's waist and over the child's shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs. Insert the male end of each shoulder/waist belt into the buckle on the crotch strap. Tighten the harness so it is snug around the child's waist and over the child's shoulders (refer to diagram showing harness adjustment).

Releasing the Child

  1. To release the child, push the button on the center clasp, and the two harness buckles will pop free (refer to diagram showing harness release).

  • Attaching the Joy Ride Platform: Pull the locks back on the platform and attach it to the rear tube of the frame (refer to diagram showing platform attachment). When the platform is not in use, remove it or rotate it upwards and secure it to the basket with the snap. NOTE: Make sure the platform locks onto the frame before use.
  • Jump Seat: Always use the 3-point harness while in the seated position facing the stroller handle. Put the seat belt around the child's waist and buckle it to the crotch strap (refer to diagram showing jump seat harness). Adjust the seat belt to be snug around the child's waist.
  • Standing: Your child can stand on the riding platform facing forwards or backwards. NOTE: Use caution while standing on the platform. Make sure your child is always holding onto the frame while riding.
