Driving Methods of LED Module
This series operates in constant current mode to directly drive LEDs. In the constant current region, the output voltage depends on the end system's configuration.
Graph Description: A graph shows 'Typical output current normalized by rated current (%)' on the x-axis and 'Vo (%)' on the y-axis. It indicates a 'Constant Current region' where the output current is maintained at 100% while the voltage can vary.
Dimming Operation (3 in 1 dimming function for B/AB-Type)
The constant current level can be adjusted using one of three methods between DIM+ and DIM-:
- 1~10VDC: Applying a voltage between 1V and 10V.
- 10V PWM signal: Applying a PWM signal with a frequency range of 100Hz ~ 3KHz.
- Resistance: Applying a resistance from 10KΩ to 100KΩ.
Note: Direct connection to LEDs is suggested. It is not suitable for use with additional drivers. Dimming source current from power supply is 100μA (typ.). Do not connect 'DIM-' to '-V'.
Dimming Curves:
1~10VDC Dimming: The graph shows output current (%) versus additive voltage (V), demonstrating a linear relationship from 1V (10% output) to 10V (100% output).
10V PWM Signal Dimming: The graph shows output current (%) versus duty cycle of the PWM signal, illustrating a linear relationship from 10% duty cycle (10% output) to 100% duty cycle (100% output).
Resistance Dimming: The graph shows output current (%) versus resistance (KΩ), showing a linear relationship from 10KΩ (10% output) to 100KΩ (100% output).
Wiring Diagram for Dimming Control
A diagram shows the connection of the HLG-120H-C (B-Type) to an LED lighting fixture. It includes connections for AC source (L, N, FG) and output (DIM+, DIM-, +V, -V). The dimming control can be achieved using an adjuster (resistance, 1~10V DC Voltage, or 10V PWM Signal) connected to DIM+ and DIM-.
