Important Safety Information
- Luminaries may only be installed by a qualified electrician.
- All luminaries should be installed in dry conditions.
- Turn off electrical supply to the circuit before installation.
Installation Steps
- Push to remove the 'knockouts' on the mounting plate that best relate to where your mains power cables/ceiling cavity is located.Diagram shows a circular mounting plate with several small circles marked as 'knockouts'. An arrow indicates pushing one of these knockouts to remove it.
- Screw the mounting plate to your ceiling using the anchors provided.Diagram shows the mounting plate being attached to a ceiling surface using two anchor screws, with anchors inserted into the ceiling.
- Drop the bulb holder through the shade. Add the foam washer before threading the brass bulb holder sleeve over the top, clamping the pendant shade securely.Diagram shows the pendant shade, a foam washer, and the bulb holder assembly. The bulb holder is being passed through the shade, with the foam washer placed between the shade and the bulb holder sleeve, which is then screwed on to secure the shade.
- Adjust the length of the lighting cable using the grub screw on the end of the cable.Diagram shows the lighting cable with a small grub screw mechanism near the end. An arrow indicates turning the grub screw to adjust the cable length.
- Hook the adjusted cable through the ceiling rose cover and slide into the centre of the pre-mounted plate.Diagram shows the ceiling rose cover being slid onto the lighting cable, which is then passed through the center of the pre-mounted ceiling plate.
- Repeat step 4 if the cable length is unsatisfactory, then secure in place with the fastening bolt.Diagram shows the cable secured with a fastening bolt after length adjustment.
