- Middle: Within hibernation state, senses movement within 5 meters to trigger reporting.
- High: Within hibernation state, senses movement within 8 meters to trigger reporting.
8. Matters Needing Attention
- PIR Sensitivity: PIR sensors are sensitive to temperature changes. Avoid placing the device where air is churning (e.g., air conditioning outlets, fan surroundings, near curtains). Do not install the device directly in front of glass or mirrors.
- Installation Height: The recommended installation height is approximately 2.5m-3m. Do not invert the device.
- Battery Life: Battery service time is affected by wake-up frequency. For busy areas, reduce sensitivity to minimize wake-ups. Charge the device promptly when the battery is low to prevent battery failure.
- Wi-Fi Signal: Ensure a stable Wi-Fi signal at the installation location, especially outdoors. Consider adding a Wi-Fi extender if the signal is weak.
- Power Supply: Use the original DC 5V 2A charger and USB cable for charging. Do not use mobile power supplies, as they may cause short circuits.
- Wi-Fi Support: The device supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi but not 5GHz Wi-Fi.
- Cloud Storage Trial: The product offers one month of free cloud storage. A subscription is required for continued use after the trial period.
9. Troubleshooting
-
Failed to configure the network:
- Ensure the device is in configuration mode.
- Keep the phone, camera, and router close together.
- Confirm you are using a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Verify the router name and password are correct.
-
Offline equipment:
- Check if the router has a stable internet connection.
- Verify the router is connected to the camera. If the router or Wi-Fi password changes, reset the device and reconfigure the network.
-
Unable to preview:
- The server might be congested. Try restarting the app.
-
No message push:
- Ensure the app has notification permissions enabled.
- Check that the alarm message push switch is enabled in the app's Personal Center Settings.
- Confirm the PIR switch is enabled in the device settings.
-
No video files:
- Ensure an SD card is inserted before startup.
- Make sure the device's PIR switch and recording switch are enabled.
- Check the SD card status in the app. If abnormal, try formatting the SD card.
10. Common Problems
Q: Why does the battery drain so quickly?
A: Excessive video recording or frequent false triggers can drain the battery. Check the number of videos recorded daily and consider lowering the sensitivity setting if there are too many false triggers. Also, check for weak Wi-Fi signals between the camera and the router; try repositioning them to improve the connection.
Q: How do you ensure that the network connection between the camera and the router is normal?
A: Trigger the PIR sensor and wait about 5 seconds. If the camera indicator blinks quickly, it indicates a poor connection to the router.
