Akuvox EC32 Smart Intercom Quick Guide

Installation

Step-by-step Installation:

• Step 1: Place the EC32 unit in the desired installation location and mark the positions of the four mounting holes from the back cover onto the wall.
• Step 2: Remove the EC32. Use a 3mm diameter drill bit to create the holes. The depth of the holes should accommodate the length of the M4 screws being used.
• Step 3: Insert four M4 self-tapping screws into the wall, leaving approximately 2mm of the screw exposed.
• Step 4: Align the EC32 with the screws and secure it using four M4 self-tapping screws.
• Finish: Installation is complete.

Configuration

Setting up the Akuvox EC32:

1. Access the Akuvox Intercom website by launching a browser and entering the IP address of your R29/R20A device. Log in using the default credentials (username: admin, password: admin).
2. Configure Lift access control: Navigate to Intercom > Lift Control > Akuvox EC32 Action on the R29/R20A web UI. Enter the username and password for the EC32.
3. Set user access rights: On the R29/R20A web UI, go to Intercom > Card Setting. Alternatively, for R29 models, use Intercom > Private Key or Intercom > Face to assign Lift Floor Numbers to specific users.
4. Access the EC32 website: Launch a browser and enter the IP address of the EC32. Log in using the default credentials (username: admin, password: 888888).
5. Adjust relay delay time: On the EC32 web UI, navigate to the Config page to set the desired intercom open time.
6. Disable automatic reboot: On the EC32 web UI, go to Hardware > Device > Restart everyday and disable this feature. It is enabled by default.

Before using the device, please verify the contents of the shipped box:

Note: You will need to provide your own M4x20 self-tapping screws or longer M4 self-tapping screws.

Device Wiring

Connection Diagram:

The device features several connection points:

• Power Supply: Connect to a 12VDC/1A power source.
• Network Port: Connect your network cable (CAT).
• RS485: Connect to RS485+ and RS485- terminals for serial communication.
• 12V Input: A dedicated 12V input terminal.

The device includes terminal blocks numbered 1 through 16 for various connections.

Technical Requirements

• Double-sided black and white printing.
• Material: 120g imported double-sided coated paper.
• Size: 180x130mm.
• Product requires design approval prior to mass production.
