Installation Recommendations
Mounting is permitted both outdoors and indoors. When installing the device outdoors, do not place it near noise sources. It is best to install it in the most user-convenient location at an installation height of 2 to 2.8 meters.
Step 1: Installing the Flush-Mount Box
For Flush Mounting:
- Cut a rectangular recess in the wall with dimensions (Width*Height*Depth) 89*207*40 mm.
- Insert the flush-mount box into the recess.
- Use cement or plaster to fill the gap between the wall and the box.
- Attach the four mounting brackets "A" and "B" to the wall or box.
Diagrams illustrate cutting the wall recess, inserting the box, filling it, and attaching the mounting brackets.
Alternative Mounting (Surface Mount without Flush Box):
- Cut a rectangular recess in the wall with dimensions (Width*Height*Depth) 89*207*40 mm.
- Use cement or plaster to fill the gap between the wall and the box.
- Attach the four mounting brackets "A" and "B" to the wall.
Diagrams show this simpler method of recessing and filling.
Step 2: Installing the Call Panel
- Unscrew the screws fixing the four mounting brackets "A" and "B" and remove the brackets from the unit.
- The four protrusions on the decorative frame insert into the recesses on the back of the device.
- Reinstall the four mounting brackets "A" and "B" onto the unit and secure them with screws to attach it to the wall or flush-mount box.
Diagrams show the process of removing brackets, attaching the decorative frame to the unit, and then securing the unit with the frame to the wall.
Step 3: Installing the Back Cover
- Pass the cables through the opening in the back cover and connect them to the corresponding terminals on the unit.
- Take a cable plug of the appropriate size and install it in the back cover opening to seal it.
- Install the cable fixing bracket and secure it with two M2.5x6 screws.
Cable Plug Sizing:
- Fewer than 6 cables: use plug size "S".
- 7-10 cables: use plug size "M".
- 11 or more cables: use plug size "L".
The mounting bracket is used to simplify cable connection to the device.
Diagrams illustrate passing cables, connecting them, installing the rubber plug, and securing the cable with the bracket and screws.
Rear Panel Connectors and Wiring
The rear panel of the R20K features various terminals for connecting external devices and power.
Terminal Descriptions:
- Power Connection: 12V DC input (Positive/Negative).
- Door Lock (Relay A/B): Terminals for controlling electric locks, typically NO (Normally Open), Common, and NC (Normally Closed) configurations.
- Exit Button: Input for connecting a push-to-exit button.
- Wiegand Card Reader: Wiegand interface terminals (D0, D1, GND) for connecting compatible card readers.
- Door A/Door B: Inputs for door sensors or other auxiliary devices.
- GND: Ground connection.
The wiring diagram visually details these connections, showing how to connect a power supply, door locks (using Relay A and Relay B with NO/NC/Common terminals), an exit button, a Wiegand card reader (D0, D1, GND), and door status inputs.
