Installation: Step 1: Embedded/Box Installation - Flush Mounting
Follow these steps for flush mounting:
- Cut a square hole in the wall according to the cable position (dimensions: height 180 mm, width 101 mm, depth 50 mm). Note: The hole should be slightly larger than recommended to accommodate all needed cables.
- Insert the embedded box into the hole. Ensure the device cables can route through the cable hole. Mark the four screw holes of the wall embedded box onto the wall.
- Take down the embedded box. Use a 6 mm hand drill to make holes with a depth of 25 mm at the marked positions.
- Insert four plastic wall anchors into the holes.
- Place the embedded box into the square hole, aligning its edges with the wall. Route all cables through the cable hole.
- Fix the embedded box with four ST4x20 crosshead screws. Then, use cement or non-corrosive structural adhesives to fill the gap between the wall and the embedded box. Wait for the adhesive material to set before proceeding.
Alternative Method: You can also use adhesives directly without fixing ST4x20 crosshead screws.
Waterproof Tips:
- For flush mounting, fill gaps around the embedded box for waterproofing to prevent water entry into the back cover.
- For wall mounting, ensure the wall-mounting bracket and wall are sealed, with the EVA on the bracket close to the wall to prevent gaps.
- Consider using a rain cover.
Step 2: Flush-mounting bracket and Wiring cover Installation
Complete the installation with the bracket and wiring cover:
- Use four M3x6 crosshead screws to fix the R20A onto the decorative panel.
- For convenient wiring, hang the R20A on the flush-mounting box using the provided rope.
- Route cables through the Wiring cover, connecting them to the corresponding interfaces on the main board. Fasten the back cover with four M2.5x6 crosshead screws.
- Place the device into the flush-mounting box. Use the L-Type spline end wrench to tighten the device with two M4x15 torx head screws.
- Select a suitable size rubber plug to insert all cables into the Wiring cover. Fix the cable locking plate to the Wiring cover with two M2.5x6 crosshead screws.
- After successful installation, check the device's stability and remove the protective film.
