Important Information Regarding microSD Card
The microSD card slot on the camera is intended solely for manufacturer testing during production. This product does not support storage on a microSD card.
Charging
Fully charge the camera before first use.
For safety reasons, the camera is not fully charged upon packaging. Please use the included charging cable (DC 5V / 1.5A), found in the accessory box, to fully charge the camera before its first use.
Status Indicator Light:
- Solid Yellow: Charging
- Solid Green: Fully Charged
- Solid Blue: Working
- None: Sleep/Off
Temperature Guidelines:
For charging and operation, the ambient and camera temperature should be between 14°F and 113°F (-10°C and 45°C). If the camera has been exposed to low temperatures for an extended period, allow it to return to room temperature before charging.

Bird Identification (AI Feature)
With Lifetime Free AI: If your Birdfy Feeder Bamboo includes lifetime free AI, the AI bird identification feature is included and automatically activated. No further action is needed.
With AI Subscription: If your Birdfy Feeder Bamboo requires an AI subscription, you must log in to my.birdfy.com to use this feature.
Assembly
Install the Perch Extension:
Install the perch extension using the included screws.

Connect the Solar Panel:
Connect the camera to the solar panel and then place it into the camera compartment. For detailed installation instructions for the solar panel, please refer to its manual.

Outdoor Installation
A. Mounting on a Pole
Use the included mounting straps or hose clamps to attach the mounting bracket to a pole.

Loosen the hose clamp.
Wrap the hose clamp around the bracket and the pole.
Attach the bracket to the pole.
Hang the feeder on the pole.
B. Mounting on a Tree
Use the black strap to attach the mounting bracket to a tree.

Thread the strap through the holes in the bracket.
Wrap the strap around the tree.
Hang the feeder on the tree.
C. Mounting on a Wall
Use the drilling template, screws, and wall anchors to mount the bracket on a wall.

Use the drilling template and an electric drill (15/64", 6 mm) to drill four holes.
Insert the included plastic wall anchors into the holes. Skip this step if mounting on wood. Then, attach the mounting bracket to the wall using screws.
Hang the feeder on the wall.
Adding Bird Food
Open the lid and add bird food into the seed compartment.

Cleaning
Follow these steps for cleaning your Birdfy feeder:
Open the lid and detach the camera.
Remove the internal components.
Clean the feeder parts.
Rinse thoroughly.
Warning: Bleach must not be used for cleaning.
Maintenance
Seal your Birdfy:
Although made from premium bamboo and specially treated, the natural properties of wood mean we recommend applying a protective coating every six months to extend the life of your Birdfy. This helps protect the wood from the elements.

Troubleshooting: Camera Not Working or Not Transmitting
Ensure the camera is fully charged.
Check your home Wi-Fi connection. Try reconnecting the camera to your Wi-Fi network.
If the problem persists:
Disconnect the camera from the solar panel or charger.
Use the included release pin or a paperclip to press the reset hole to completely power off the camera.
Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to restart the camera.
