The Birdfy Feeder Bamboo Mini consists of the following parts:

Note on microSD card slot: The microSD card slot is for manufacturer testing only and does not support product storage.

Charging

Fully charge the camera before use. The camera is not fully charged when packaged. Use the included charging cable (DC 5V / 1.5A) to fully charge the camera before the first use.

Status Light Guide:

Important Temperature Note: When charging and operating, the ambient and camera temperature should be between 14°F to 113°F (-10°C to 45°C). If the camera has been exposed to low temperatures, bring it back to room temperature before charging.

Downloading the Birdfy App

Pair your Birdfy device with the app by downloading it from the App Store or Google Play.

Bird Identification

• Lifetime Free AI: If your Birdfy Feeder Bamboo Mini includes Lifetime Free AI, the AI bird identification feature is automatically included and activated. No further action is needed.

• AI by Subscription: If your Birdfy Feeder Bamboo Mini includes AI by Subscription, you need to subscribe on my.birdfy.com to access this feature.

Assembly

1. Install the extension perch with the provided screws.
2. Connect the camera to the solar panel, then place it into the camera compartment. Refer to the solar panel instruction manual for installation details.

Outdoor Installation

A. Pole-mounted

1. Loosen the hose clip.
2. Wrap the hose clip around the bracket.
3. Attach the bracket to the pole.
4. Hang the feeder on the pole.

B. Tree-mounted

1. Slide the strap through the bracket slots.
2. Wrap the strap around the tree.
3. Hang the feeder on the tree.

C. Wall-mounted

1. Use the drill template and an electric drill (15/64", 6mm) to drill four holes.
2. Drive the provided plastic anchors into the holes. Skip this step if mounting on wood. Fasten the hanging bracket on the wall using the screws.
3. Hang the feeder on the wall.

Adding Birdseed

Open the seed bin cover and pour birdseed into the feeder.

Cleaning

1. Remove the camera.
2. Remove the metal mesh.
3. Clean the components. Note: Bleach should not be used.
4. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Maintenance

Seal Your Birdfy

Although crafted with premium bamboo and special treatment, natural wood characteristics mean it is recommended to apply a protective finish every six months to extend the Birdfy's lifespan.

Troubleshooting:

If your Birdfy camera goes offline or fails to stream:

1. Ensure the camera is fully charged.
2. Verify your home Wi-Fi connectivity and try to reconnect the camera to your Wi-Fi network.

If the issue persists:

1. Disconnect the camera from the solar panel or charger.
2. Use the provided ejector pin or a paperclip to press the reset hole to power down the camera.
3. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to restart the camera.
