STOCKSUND Bench Assembly Instructions

Before You Begin

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the IKEA STOCKSUND bench. Please review all steps before starting. Ensure you have adequate space and all components are present.

Assembly Steps

  1. Step 1: Attach Legs

    Take the main bench body. Screw the four decorative legs (4x) into the threaded sockets located on the underside of the bench base. Ensure they are tightened securely.

  2. Step 2: Verify Leg Attachment

    Confirm that all four legs are firmly attached and stable.

  3. Step 3: Prepare the Fabric Cover

    Locate the fabric cover for the bench. Unzip the cover using the zipper pull. A small information icon [?] is present, indicating to discard packaging materials responsibly.

  4. Step 4: Install Lid Support Mechanisms

    Attach the two lid support mechanisms (2x). This involves screwing metal brackets to the inside of the bench frame and to the underside of the lid. The diagrams show specific screw and bracket placements.

  5. Step 5: Place Cover onto Bench Frame

    Carefully drape the fabric cover over the main bench frame. Align the opening of the cover with the bench and ensure the integrated straps are positioned correctly.

  6. Step 6: Secure Cover to Frame

    Pull the fabric cover down and around the bench frame. Use the integrated straps to tighten and secure the cover snugly to the base of the bench.

  7. Step 7: Zip and Fasten Cover

    Close the main zipper of the fabric cover. Fasten any additional securing straps as shown in the diagrams.

  8. Step 8: Tuck Excess Fabric

    Tuck any excess fabric neatly under the edges of the bench frame for a clean and finished appearance.

  9. Step 9: Position the Lid

    Place the padded lid, which contains the internal storage compartment, onto the bench frame.

  10. Step 10: Secure Lid with Straps

    Utilize the straps attached to the lid to secure it to the bench frame, ensuring it stays in place.

  11. Step 11: Connect Lid Hinges

    Connect the lid to the bench frame using the provided hinge mechanisms and straps. The diagrams illustrate how the lid attaches to the main body.

  12. Step 12: Close the Lid

    Gently lower the lid to its closed position. The support mechanisms will help control the movement.

  13. Step 13: Final Assembly Complete

    The IKEA STOCKSUND bench is now fully assembled and ready for use.
