1.2. Mac Driver Installation Issue

1.2.1. Why is my printer not showing up on my desktop?

  1. If your Mac shows "Offline" or does not display the printer in "Printers&Scanners", it means the Mac did not recognize the printer.
    • Try unplugging and plugging the USB cable on both the Mac and printer sides.
    • Restart the printer (power off then on).
  2. If it is still not displayed in "Printers&Scanners", check the USB connection. Connect a flash drive using the USB adapter to see if the computer can read data. If it can, the adapter provides a stable connection for the printer.

Image: Screenshot of the ITPP130 Printer Properties dialog in Windows, showing the "Ports" tab with USB00* selected.

1.3.2. Why does my windows display the printer status as offline?

If the printer status is offline, Windows did not recognize the printer. Replug the USB cable and restart the printer. The status should become "Idle".

If it remains offline, reinstall the driver. It might appear as "ITPP130 (Copy1)".

1.4. Bluetooth Connection (Only for Bluetooth version)

2.0 Printing Issue

2.1. Label Issue

2.1.1. Why doesn't my label print correctly?

There are three main situations:

  1. The shipping label file size is not 4x6 inches. Set the correct label size on your shipping platform or online store.
  2. Incorrect settings when switching label sizes. Select the size corresponding to your shipping label.

For Windows: Go to "printer preferences" -> "advanced" -> "paper size", select the correct size (e.g., 4x6 inch or 100*150mm).

Image: Screenshot of Windows printer preferences showing paper size options, with 100mm x 150mm selected.

For Mac: In the print dialog, select your "Paper Size" appropriately (e.g., 4 x 6").

Image: Screenshot of Mac print dialog showing paper size selection, with 4.00x6.00 inches selected.

In the presets settings, you can permanently save settings to avoid repeated configurations.

2.1.2. Why is the printer only printing blank?

If the document size is not 4x6 inches, or there is a large blank area, or the label prompts "cut on dotted line", you need to cut off the blank area to print correctly.

Solutions:

  1. Check if your adapter is included in the package. If correct, follow the steps to calibrate the paper.
  2. Calibrate Paper:
    1. Load no less than 4 consecutive sheets of paper into the printer.
    2. After the paper stops moving, press and hold FEED ([red/green light]). Release when you hear a beep.
    3. The printer will learn the paper size. It returns to normal after completion.

Image: Two sample shipping labels are shown, one with a full barcode and address, and another with missing information, indicating a printing issue.

Image: Screenshot of a print dialog showing paper size set to 4.0x6.0 inches and scale set to "Fit to paper".

2.1.3. Why are my stickers slowly moving off center

This is due to using a thermal printer and thermal stickers with gaps. Adjust settings in the printer to ensure continuous printing.

For Windows:

Navigate to Settings -> Devices -> Printers and Scanners -> 'ITPP130 Printer' -> Manager -> Printing Preferences -> Layout -> Paper/Quality -> Stock -> Edit. Adjust "Gap/Mark Height" and "Gap/Mark Offset" in the Media Settings.

Image: Screenshot of Windows ITPP130 Printer Printing Preferences dialog, showing settings for Media Settings like Gap/Mark Height and Gap/Mark Offset.

Solutions:

  1. Use the MunbynPrinter program to crop 8x11 inch label PDF files. It currently supports UPS, USPS, DHL, FedEx, Canada Post, and Colissimo La Poste. Download: ▶️http://munbyn.biz/PDFMP
  2. Crop blank areas using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Video: ▶️https://youtu.be/ucBS9epBnnU. Download Reader: ▶️https://acrobat.adobe.com/us/en/acrobat/pdf-reader.html

2.1.4. Why is the printer only printing blank?

The most common reason is that labels were loaded upside down. Ensure labels are loaded tearable side up.

  1. Ensure labels are "Direct Thermal" type.
  2. If issues persist, print a self-test page: Press and hold the FEED ([green/red light]) button until two beeps, then release.

If the self-test page prints correctly, but the issue remains, contact support.

For Mac: Ensure "Media Tracking" is set to "Gap", "Gap/Mark Height" is set appropriately (e.g., 3mm), and "Method" is "Direct Thermal".

Image: Screenshot of Mac printer features settings, showing Media Tracking, Gap/Mark Height, and Method.

2.1.5. Why is the red light blinking on the printer?

  1. Your printer is not loaded with label paper. Solution: Load label paper; the light should turn green.
  2. Your printer does not identify the size of the paper.
    • After printing a label, blank sheets may output, and the printer shows red.
    • Only a small part of text prints, paper jams, and the printer shows red.
Solutions for both situations: Load no less than 4 consecutive sheets of paper, then press and hold FEED ([red/green light]) until a beep, then release. The printer will learn the paper size.
  3. The label does not feed properly, possibly with abnormal noise.

2.2. Print Quality Issue

2.2.1. Why is the printed label too dark and cannot be scanned?

  1. Try using PDF file format for printing instead of PNG, PIG, or other image formats, especially if the barcode is fuzzy.
  2. If the barcode is still not scannable, the printer's density and speed settings may not be suitable. Reduce density and increase speed. (Refer to 2.2.4 for steps).

2.2.2. Why is the printed label not clear?

  1. Try using PDF file format instead of image formats if the barcode is light.
  2. If the font is still not clear, increase density and reduce speed. (Refer to 2.2.4 for steps).
  3. If the label is still unclear, wipe the print head with alcohol wipes or wet tissues. (Refer to 2.2.4 for cleaning steps).

2.2.3. How to maintain the print head?

Video link: ▶️https://bit.ly/cleanpd130

Steps:

  1. Turn the printer off and let it cool down (about half a minute).
  2. Use alcohol wipes or wet tissues to clean the print head.
  3. Image: Close-up of the printer's print head assembly, with a highlighted area indicating where to clean.

  4. Wait 2-5 minutes for the print head to dry, then turn the printer on.

Use high-quality thermal label paper (like Munbyn paper) to prevent inferior paper from peeling off and affecting the print head's life.

2.2.4. How to adjust the density and speed in the settings?

For Mac:

  1. Choose printer features.
  2. Image: Screenshot of Mac print dialog showing printer features, including Layout, Paper Handling, and Printer Features.

  3. Adjust density (darkness) and speed. Set "Darkness" and "Print Speed" in the "Printer Features" section.
  4. Image: Screenshot of Mac printer features settings, showing options for Darkness (e.g., 8) and Print Speed (e.g., 4 inch/sec).

For Windows:

Settings -> Devices -> Printers and Scanners -> 'ITPP130 Printer' -> Manager -> Printing Preferences -> Page Setup -> Density/Speed -> Apply.

Image: Screenshot of Windows ITPP130 Printer Printing Preferences dialog, showing settings for Speed and Density.

2.3. Other Issue

2.3.1. Why does the printer keep beeping?

Please check if you are using the power adapter included in the package.

Image: Two images of the MUNBYN power adapter, showing its specifications.

2.3.2. Why can't the printer work after I update the computer system?

Download and install the latest driver file.

If the printer still does not work, please contact support.

2.3.3. Why can't I find 4x6 inches in Google Chrome?

There are other measurement methods for Google Chrome sizes. When printing a 4x6 inch label, select "oe w288h432". Alternatively, use another browser.

2.3.4. Why is my printer not turning on

  1. Ensure power connection: Check if the wall plug has electricity and if the power cable is fully plugged into the adapter and printer.
  2. The power adapter is damaged and does not display the green light.
  3. Printer failure.

If the power adapter or printer is broken, please contact support.
