General Information

• Compatible with R-32 VRF air, water, and mini systems.
• The indoor unit features "calm air mode." When activated in cooling mode, the unit closes its louver and disperses air through micro-holes on the front, preventing cold air drafts.
• The indoor unit includes an integral condensate pump with a maximum lift of 26-5/16" from the bottom of the unit (21-5/16" from the drain outlet). It has a check valve and float switch to disable the unit in case of condensate overflow.
• The indoor unit fascia panel includes a built-in Wi-Fi adapter as standard for control and monitoring via the Samsung SmartThings app.

Construction

• Insulated, HIPS chassis and fascia panel certified to UL94 V0.
• High-voltage terminal block temperature sensor disables the unit if power connection overheats.

Refrigerant System

• The heat exchanger is mechanically bonded aluminum fin to copper tube.
• The indoor unit includes an R32 alarm output plug for notification or interlock of third-party equipment upon R32 leak detection (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).

Indoor Fan

• Features three fan speed settings and an auto setting.
• Includes an electro-static, washable filter as standard (integrated with the fascia panel).
• Fascia panel has an LED display, infrared receiver, and motorized louvers.

Controls

• Control wiring is 2 x 16 AWG.
• Operation is via a wired remote controller model VSTAT04P-1 (purchased separately).
• Supports dual set temperature when connected to compatible controllers.
• Wired or wireless controllers must be purchased separately.

External Heat Control

• Allows configuration of fan operation during auxiliary heat, defrost, and emergency heat modes (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).
• Configuration settings include outside ambient external heat lockout, outside ambient compressor lockout, and time delay options (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).
• Emergency heat functionality ensures the system continues controlling the external heat source even when system errors prevent the heat pump from operating (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).

Convenience

• Emergency Temperature Output (ETO) function: When the indoor unit is in an error status or room temperature exceeds a configurable level, the system outputs a signal to an external source (e.g., backup system, building management system, alert device like status light, warning lamp, or buzzer).

Dimensional Drawing

Dimensional drawings illustrate the unit's dimensions and connection points. Key dimensions include overall width of approximately 55-1/2 inches, height of 5-7/16 inches, and depth of 17-3/4 inches. The ceiling opening required is approximately 54-5/16 inches by 18-1/2 inches. Connection points are detailed for liquid and gas refrigerant pipes, drain hose, power/communication conduit, air outlet louver, and air inlet grille.
